Antioch University Santa Barbara (AUSB) is a private liberal arts university in downtown Santa Barbara, California. It is part of the Antioch University system that includes campuses in Keene, New Hampshire; Seattle, Washington; Los Angeles, California; and Yellow Springs, Ohio, also home to Antioch College. Antioch University has operated in Santa Barbara since 1977.
Antioch College was established in 1852 in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Horace Mann, educator, social reformer, abolitionist, and one of the creators of the US public school system was its first president. Mann's goal, which he achieved, was to create a university that would be nonsectarian, coeducational, and that did not utilize a conventional grading system. In 1863, Antioch approved a policy that no applicant was to be rejected on the basis of race. It was also among the first colleges to offer the same curriculum to men and women students. [3]
In 1963 the College began to expand out-of-state. A network of schools was begun. In 1977 Antioch College renamed itself Antioch University and opened the Santa Barbara campus that year. [3]

Master of Arts in Education (MA) or the more streamlined Master of Education (MEd) There are additional course work offerings, including a Teacher Credential Program, a Multiple-Subject Teaching Credential, a Social Justice and Educational Leadership Emphasis, a Nature-Based Childhood Education Emphasis, an Educational Specialist Mild/Moderate Credential, and an Educational Specialist Mild/Moderate Curriculum Design.
Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychology prepares students for MFT or LPCC licensure. Optional concentrations: Healthy Aging or Latino Mental Health.

Students are primarily adults who are either returning to school or who are planning for career change. University policy states that it seeks "qualified candidates who will contribute to building a student body diverse in gender, ethnicity, age, class, physical differences, learning styles, sexual orientation, professional backgrounds, and community experiences." [4] The University partners with AmeriCorps by matching up to $5,000 with its Segal Education Scholarship for service as an AmeriCorps graduate. [5] The university caters to an increasing number of international students.
There are more than 100 core and adjunct members of the faculty. Many work part-time for the university and spend the majority of their time working in their fields and professions. Barbara Lipinski, PhD, JD is the Provost and Chief Executive Officer.

The School of Education and Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University was created in the fall of 2001 and brought together graduate programs in Counseling Psychology and Education. Approximately 800 graduate students are enrolled in the school, with 200 studying psychology and 400 studying education.

It is located on the University's Charles River Campus in Boston, Massachusetts in the former Lahey Clinic building. BU Wheelock has more than 31,000 alumni, 32 full-time faculty and both undergraduate and graduate students. Boston University School of Education was ranked 34th in the nation in 2018 by U.S. News & World Report in their rankings of graduate schools of education. The USC Rossier School of Education is one of the graduate schools of the University of Southern California. Rossier offers six master's degree programs, a Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership (Ed.D.) degree, a Global Executive Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) and a Ph.D. in Urban Education Policy. Rossier also offers online programs including a master's in teaching English to speakers of other languages, an online Ed.D., an online master's in school counseling, and an online master of arts in teaching. Rossier places an emphasis on the study of urban education locally, nationally and globally. The school also houses the USC Language Academy and the Office of Professional Development.
Antioch University Midwest (AUM) was the name of a campus of a private institution of higher education serving adult students in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Previously the campus was named "Antioch University McGregor" after the management professor and theorist Douglas McGregor, who served as the President of Antioch College from 1948 to 1954. On June 12, 2010, the campus was officially renamed "Antioch University Midwest."
The Gevirtz Graduate School of Education is a graduate school at the University of California, Santa Barbara which specializes in the field of education and counseling, clinical and school psychology. It is located in technology-enabled Education Building which has been built in 2009 on the UCSB campus. In 2013, the Gevirtz School was once again named one of the best graduate schools of education in the United States by U.S. News & World Report. In addition to its graduate programs, it also contains the Koegel Autism Center, Hosford Counseling & Psychological Clinic, the Psychology Assessment Center, and the McEnroe Reading & Language Arts Clinic. The Gevirtz School has a pre-K – 6 laboratory school, The Harding University Partnership School, in the Santa Barbara Unified School District.
The Nonstop Liberal Arts Institute was the educational program supported by Nonstop Antioch, a movement organized by alumni and former students, staff and faculty of Antioch College to keep Antioch College alive and operating in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Nonstop was supported for one year by the Antioch College Alumni Association through the College Revival Fund. Originally organized in 2007 shortly after Antioch University announced the closure of the original college and campus, the effort was first known as "Antioch-College-in-Exile" but changed its name after the university threatened a lawsuit over use of the Antioch name or other identifiers. The Nonstop effort was not supported by or affiliated with the Antioch University system.

Antioch University Los Angeles (AULA) is a campus of Antioch University in Culver City, California.
National University is a private university headquartered in San Diego, California, United States. Founded in 1971, National University offers academic degree programs at campuses throughout California, a satellite campus in Nevada, and various programs online. Programs at National University are designed for adult learners. On-campus classes are typically blended learning courses, concentrated to four weeks or on weeknights with occasional Saturday classes. The university uses asynchronous learning and real-time virtual classrooms for its online programs.
The University of Connecticut (UConn) Neag School of Education offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in education, sport management, and leadership across four campuses, with the main campus located in Storrs, Connecticut. The Storrs location is the main UConn campus and is home to the Renzulli Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development, and additional locations are in Hartford, Waterbury, and Groton.
