Anugrah Narayan Singh is an Indian politician from the Indian National Congress party. He is a four-time Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) [1] from Allahabad North Assembly Constituency in Allahabad of Uttar Pradesh.This time Uttrakhand congress president

Career

Studying Bachelor of Arts in 1969 & LLB in 1972 from Allahabad University, Anugrah Narayan Singh became the president of Allahabad University, winning the election by the highest margin until now.[ citation needed ]

He served as the MLA of Allahabad North seat for four terms, winning elections in 1985, 1989, 2007 and 2012.[ citation needed ]

He lost his seat in the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly election to Harshvardhan Bajpai of the Bharatiya Janata Party. [2]

Kuldeep Singh Sengar is an Indian politician and former member of Legislative Assembly belonging to the Bhartiya Janta Party from Unnao district, Uttar Pradesh who has been convicted of rape, murder, attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy and criminal intimidation. He is the main defendant in the Unnao rape case and was booked under the POCSO Act. He is also accused of killing three people, including the victim's father in police custody and later her aunts by a conspired truck accident. A Delhi District and Sessions Court upheld an investigation conducted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) that had ruled out any foul play in the Unnao rape survivor's accident in 2019.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mohan Lal Verma</span> Indian independence activist (1912-1979)

Mohan Lal Verma was a leader of Indian independence movement and a lifelong follower of Mahatma Gandhi. After independence he was appointed as MLC - Member of the State Legislative Council from Hardoi constituency from 1948 to 1952. After this tenure he also served the district of Hardoi for a decade as MLA- Member of the Legislative Assembly for two consecutive terms from 1957 to 1967. He won his first MLA election from Sandila constituency in 1957 and again in 1962 from erstwhile Gondwa constituency. Even after his political career he continued to serve the people of Hardoi and bring development to the district until his death.
