I Burn is the fourth Korean extended play by South Korean girl group (G)I-dle. It was released on January 11, 2021, by Cube Entertainment and Republic Records. The EP consists of three physical versions: Winter, Flower and Fire, and contains six tracks, including the lead single "Hwaa". The album contains various emotions felt in the process of regaining happiness after separation. I Burn is the fourth of the 'I' series, which started from the debut album, I Am (2018). Commercially, the EP surpassed 200,000 copies, making it the group's first project to do so. I Burn is the group's final release as a sextet, before Soojin's hiatus and subsequent departure from the group in August 2021.

A Japanese version of the song was issued on May 10, 2017, through Universal Music Japan, as a B-side of the single album that included the tracks "Blood Sweat & Tears" and "Not Today", both also in Japanese. The song is an alternative hip hop and pop rock power ballad, which relies on rock instrumentation. The lyrics revolve around the themes of loss, longing, grief, and moving on.
Nature was a South Korean girl group formed in 2018 by n.CH Entertainment consisting of nine members: Sohee, Saebom, Aurora, Lu, Chaebin, Haru, Loha, Uchae, and Sunshine. Its original members Gaga departed from the group in October 2019; were replaced respectively by Loha in November 2018 and Sohee in October 2019. Maxident is the seventh Korean-language extended play and by South Korean boy band Stray Kids. It was released on October 7, 2022, through JYP Entertainment and Republic Records, seven months after the release of their preceding EP, Oddinary (2022). A portmanteau of "max" or "maximum" and "incident" or "accident", the EP saw the band take on a "love" concept for the first time. The album was written and produced primarily by 3Racha, alongside the group's other members and producers Raphael, Daviid, Yosia, Tak, 1Take, Kim Park Chella, Hong Ji-sang, Earattack, Chan's, and Darm. It consists of eight tracks, including the lead single "Case 143" and the Korean version of "Circus", originally from the band's Japanese EP of the same name.

Written by 3Racha, Raphael of Producing Lab, and Daviid and Yosia of 3scape, "Case 143" is an electrohop and pop track, likening the confusion one feels when falling in love to an unsolved "case", referencing the number 143, a code for "I love you". The accompanying music video, directed by 725, premiered on the same day. The Japanese version was released on December 15.

The tracks in the EP are listed in reverse as it narrates the process of love, starting with track 6 of someone experiencing love for the first time to track 1 of loving themselves. The EP took the form of vintage Hollywood-inspired concept.
