Ara Torosyan (born May 10, 1972), known in the Armenian music industry by his pen name Murzo, is a music arranger and record producer. [1] [2] [ permanent dead link ] He is widely recognized to be one of the best music arrangers in his native country of Armenia. Torosyan arranged music and produced records for Andre, Tata Simonyan, Eva Rivas, as well as Armenian folk music stars Inga and Anush Arshakyan. He is a permanent member of the jury panel for the hit music television show Two Stars that airs on Armenia 1. Torosyan arranged and produced Eva Rivas's song "Apricot Stone", which was the Armenian entry for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest held in Oslo, Norway.

The institute was founded in 1921 as a music studio. In 1923, it was turned into a higher musical education institution. It is named after Komitas, the founder of the Armenian national school of music.

The Golden ApricotYerevan International Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Yerevan, Armenia. The festival was founded in 2004 with the co-operation of the "Golden Apricot" Fund for Cinema Development, the Armenian Association of Film Critics and Cinema Journalists. The GAIFF is continually supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the Ministry of Culture of Armenia and the Benevolent Fund for Cultural Development.The objectives of the festival are "to present new works by the film directors and producers in Armenia and foreign cinematographers of Armenian descent and to promote creativity and originality in the area of cinema and video art".

Armenia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "Apricot Stone" written by Armen Martirosyan and Karen Kavaleryan. The song was performed by Eva Rivas. The Armenian entry for the 2010 contest in Oslo, Norway was selected through the national final Evrotesil 2010, organised by the Armenian broadcaster Public Television of Armenia (AMPTV). The national final took place on 14 February 2010 where ten entries competed. "Apricot Stone" performed by Eva Rivas was selected as the winner following the combination of votes from a professional jury and a public televote.

The Tchaikovsky Secondary Music School, is a secondary school in Yerevan, Armenia which opened in 1939. The school is a specialized secondary school where a total of 600 students are enrolled in a 12-year education, while at the same time receiving 2 certificates of general and vocational education.
