Arbeidsvitaminen ("Work vitamins") is a popular-music radio show produced by the AVROTROS broadcasting association for NPO Radio 5 in the Netherlands. The first edition of the show went on air on 19 February 1946, [1] making it the longest-running radio programme in the Netherlands and one of the longest-lasting in the world. On 1 May 2006 the programme received a Guinness Book of World Records award for being the longest-lived nationally broadcast radio show in history. [2] This status is debatable, however, since a number of other radio programmes, most notably in Norway and the United Kingdom, have been on the air since the 1920s.

Concept

Arbeidsvitaminen was created as a late-morning entertainment show by Jaap den Daas, a programme maker for AVRO and also the man behind such other classic shows of Dutch radio as De Bonte Dinsdagavondtrein (The colourful Tuesday evening train) and Hersengymnastiek. (Brain gymnastics) Originally each edition of the show focused on a single company or organisation. The employees were asked to create their Top 10 list of favourite records and these were played during the show, and the head of the company or organization was featured as "Boss of the Day". After 11.00 a guest celebrity (usually someone in the news that week) was interviewed in the show. For example, in 2004 Dutch crown prince Willem-Alexander was a guest. [3] The show also had special theme weeks in which humanitarian organisations were promoted. A recurring item was "One Minute", a collaboration with the Dutch TV show "Opsporing Verzocht", (Investigation Wanted) where witnesses of a certain crime were asked to contact the radio station in case they could provide the investigators with more information.

Since its move to NPO Radio 5 on 6 September 2010 Arbeidsvitaminen has become exclusively a record request show. In 2006 a compilation CD was released featuring the most frequently requested music in the programme's 60-year history. At the same time a CD-ROM, Mega Hitparade, was issued, summarizing the show's playlists from February 1946 to May 1957.

On Saturday and Sunday morning between 10:00 am and 12:00 am she hosted the program Annemieke Hier on NPO 3FM as well as the Saturday evening program Weekend DNA, between 20:00 pm and 22:00 pm. On September 1. 2017, Annemieke moved after 11 years from NPO 3FM to NPO Radio 2. Annemieke can now be heard Friday to Sunday from 2 PM to 4 PM on NPO Radio 2 with Annemiekes A-Lijst.

Dit was het nieuws is a Dutch television panel show, produced by AVROTROS and broadcast on NPO 1, wherein two teams give a satirical account of the previous week's news. The program has the form of a game show in which two teams, each with a team leader and weekly guest, compete against each other. The scoring is not serious; after the first round, for instance, the score is always 4-4.

WNL is a broadcasting association which produces radio and television programmes within the framework of the Dutch public broadcasting system NPO. It was founded on 16 February 2009 as a right-wing conservative counterweight to a perceived leftist bias in Dutch public broadcasting, and its first programme was transmitted on 6 September 2010. The Netherlands participated in and won the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "Arcade" written by Duncan Laurence, Joel Sjöö, Wouter Hardy and Will Knox. The song was performed by Duncan Laurence, who was internally selected by the Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS to represent the Netherlands at the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv, Israel. Laurence's appointment as the Dutch representative was announced on 21 January 2019, while the song, "Arcade", was presented to the public on 7 March 2019.

The Netherlands participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy, with "De diepte" performed by S10. The Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS internally selected the Dutch entry for the 2022 contest. S10's appointment as the Dutch representative was announced on 7 December 2021, while the song, "De diepte", was presented to the public during an event on 3 March 2022.

Mega Top 30 is a Dutch music chart compiled by SoundAware and broadcast every Saturday from 14:00 - 16:00 on NPO 3FM. It originally started on November 30, 1963, as the Tijd voor Teenagers Top 10. Throughout the years, the chart has had several names and lengths:
