Arben Fahri Imami (born 21 January 1958) is an Albanian politician and former actor. He served as the minister of defense between 2009 and 2013. [1]
Imami was born in Tirana,and attended the High Institute of Arts of Tirana between 1977 and 1981. Later he was a professor at the Academy of Arts of Tirana. He is one of the founders of the Democratic Party of Albania in 1990,and has been elected a Member of Parliament in five legislatures.
Political posts Imami has held include minister of legislative reform and parliament relations from 1997 to 1999,minister of justice from 2000 to 2001,minister of local government and decentralization from 2000 to February 2002,and from 2005 to 2009 he was the chief of cabinet of the prime minister.
During 1999 and 2000,he had a fellowship at the School of Foreign Service of Georgetown University in Washington,D.C. [2]
He has acted in three films,Face to Face (1979) "Nëçdo stinë" (1980) and (Vajzat me kordele te kuqe) [3] Te shoh ne sy (1986)

Fatos Thanas Nano is an Albanian socialist politician who served as Prime Minister of Albania in 1991,from 1997 to 1998 and from 2002 to 2005. He was the first leader and founder of the Socialist Party of Albania and a member of the Albanian Parliament from 1991 to 1993 and 1997 to 2009. He reformed the anti-revisionist Marxist-Leninist ideology of the Labor Party of Albania into social democracy for its successor,the Socialist Party. During his leadership,the Socialist Party,as a result of reforms,joined the Socialist International and Party of European Socialists. Nano was a candidate in the 2007 presidential election but did not win. He again tried in the 2012 presidential election,but he did not even qualify as a candidate,because the leaders of parties in Parliament obstructed their respective MPs to elect him as candidate in the elections.
The Democratic Alliance Party is a liberal political party in Albania. The party was formed in 1992 by Neritan Ceka and other dissidents of the Democratic Party of Albania. They opposed the leadership of the party's leader Sali Berisha.
Azem Shpend Hajdari was the leader of the student movement in 1990–1991 that led to the fall of communism in Albania. He then became a politician of the Democratic Party of Albania (DP). He symbolizes the start of the democratic era in Albania. He was a member of the Albanian parliament and the Chairman of the Defence Parliamentary Commission. Pacolli is a former president of Kosovo,and served as the first deputy prime minister of Kosovo between 2011 and 2014. Pacolli was one of the signatories of the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence.
