The Architectural Institute of Korea (AIK) is the only academic organization on architecture in Korea.[ citation needed ] Established in 1945,today AIK has more than 10,000 members. They represent architects,building engineers,researchers,architecture students and teachers,and public officials. [1]
The organization’s activities are in three different categories:academic research;information research (including four regularly published journals);and,educational and public activities.
AIK is led by a governing body and has eight local chapters across Korea. Its national offices are located in Seoul,South Korea.
AIK has special exchange agreements with allied organizations worldwide,including the Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ),the Architectural Society of China (ASC),and the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ASCA) of the United States. [1]

Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee is a technical university located in Roorkee,Uttarakhand,India. It is the oldest engineering institution in India,and was founded as the College of Civil Engineering in British India in 1847 by the Lieutenant-Governor of the North-Western Provinces,James Thomason,in order to train officers and surveyors employed in the construction of the Ganges Canal. In 1854,after the completion of the canal and Thomason's death,it was renamed the Thomason College of Civil Engineering by Proby Cautley,the designer and projector of the canal. It was renamed University of Roorkee in 1949,and again renamed IIT Roorkee in 2001. The institution has 22 academic departments covering Engineering,Applied Sciences,Humanities &Social Sciences and Management programs with an emphasis on scientific and technological education and research.

Yeungnam University is a private research university located in Gyeongsan,North Gyeongsang,South Korea. The university's predecessors,Taegu College and Chunggu College,were founded in Daegu in 1947 and 1950 respectively. In 1967,the two colleges were merged by President Park Chung-hee to form Yeungnam University. In 1972,the university's new main campus opened in Gyeongsan east of Daegu. The university includes colleges of Law and Medicine as well as a university hospital. It ranked 1st in the rate for passing the bar exam for the second straight year (2015~2016),ranked 6th in providing CEOs in Korea's top 100 companies (2015),and 6th in providing the CEOs in Companies listed on KOSDAQ (2014).

The National University of Laos (NUOL) is a university in Vientiane,the capital of Laos. Founded in 1996,with departments brought in from other existing colleges,it is the only national university in the country. The NUOL accepts students from all over Laos,along with international students.

National Aviation University is a university located in Kyiv,Ukraine. It started in 1933 when the Kyiv Aviation Institute was founded on the basis of the mechanical department of Kyiv Machine-Building Institute. The university consists of five institutes,ten separate faculties,one Aviation Academy,two lyceums,six colleges and Military Training Department. The university has its own Culture and Arts Center,Aviation Medical Center,Flight Training Center,Training and Sports Wellness Center,Scientific and Technical Library,“Aviator”newspaper and a yacht club. The university also supports the State Aviation Museum.
Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur is a public technical university located in Jodhpur in the state of Rajasthan in India. It is one of the eight new Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development,Government of India under The Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act,2011 which declares these eight IITs as well as the conversion of the Institute of Technology,Banaras Hindu University to IIT. The Act was passed in the Lok Sabha on 24 March 2011 and by the Rajya Sabha on 30 April 2012.
