Archive on 4, previously The Archive Hour, [1] is a BBC Radio 4 programme which uses audio clips mainly sourced from the BBC Sound Archive to illustrate a different theme in each edition. [2] [3]

A variety of guest speakers, often with a connection to the week's subject, present the show. [4]

The programme is broadcast on Saturday evenings at 8pm in the United Kingdom, and an archive of past issues is available to listen again. [4] [5]

The first edition of The Archive Hour, presented by Claire Rayner, was broadcast on 11 April 1998. [6] The programme title was changed to Archive on 4 from 3 January 2009. [7]

A Question of Sport is a British television sports quiz show produced and broadcast by the BBC. It is the "world's longest running TV sports quiz". Following a pilot episode in December 1968, broadcast only in the north of England, the series has run continuously since 1970 and celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in 2020. It is currently presented by Sue Barker with team captains Matt Dawson and Phil Tufnell, all of whom are due to leave the series in 2021.

Midweek was a British weekly radio magazine series broadcast on BBC Radio 4. It was aired on Wednesday at 09.00 and repeated later the same day at 21.00. For most of its run it was presented by Libby Purves and each week several guests discussed various topics with her. Start the Week and Stop the Week, also broadcast on Radio 4, employed similar formats. The programme ended in March 2017 as part of a schedule change.

Waggoners' Walk was a daily radio soap opera broadcast on BBC Radio 2 from 1969 to 1980 and set in the cul-de-sac of Waggoners' Walk and its environs in Hampstead, North London. It was transmitted in the form of 15-minute episodes on weekday afternoons with a repeat the following weekday morning.
