Ardglass Football Club was a Northern Irish junior-level football club playing in the Newcastle & District League. The club hails from Ardglass, County Down, Northern Ireland and was founded in 1973, when it joined the Newcastle & District League before being admitted to the Northern Amateur Football League in 1992. [1] After being relegated from the Premier Division in 2017 the club announced their withdrawal from the Amateur League, citing a lack of players for the decision. [2] The club played in the Irish Cup. [3]

Ardglass is a coastal fishing village, townland and civil parish in County Down, Northern Ireland, in the historic barony of Lecale Lower. It is still a relatively important fishing harbour. It is situated on the B1 Ardglass to Downpatrick road, about 6 miles to the south east of Downpatrick, in the Lecale peninsula on the Irish Sea. It had a population of 1,668 in the 2001 Census, and is located within the Newry, Mourne and Down area.

Newcastle Blue Star F.C. is a football club based in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It was established in 1930 and joined the Wearside League in 1973. In 1978, it won the FA Vase. Having won promotion to the Northern Premier League Premier Division at the end of the 2008–09 season via the play-offs, off field troubles led to the club winding up having never taken its place in the league. Barn United Football Club is a Northern Irish, intermediate football club from Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland playing in Division 1B of the Northern Amateur Football League. Dromara Village Football Club is a Northern Irish intermediate football club based in Dromara who currently play in Division 1A of the Northern Amateur Football League. The club has three senior teams playing in the Amateur League and the Newcastle and District League, and one under-17 youth team competing in the Lisburn Invitational League. The club joined the Newcastle and District League in 1976, and gained intermediate status upon entry to Division 1C of the Amateur League in 1986. The biggest achievement for the club in recent years was promotion to the Premier Division of the Amateur Premier League at the end of the 2007–08 season. In latter history one of the big highlights for the club was reaching the Steel & Sons cup final in 1996 when the Villagers were narrowly defeated in a cup final replay, having drawn the first tie against Ballymena United Reserves. They play their football at Bell's Bridge, just outside Dromara, and boosts some of the best facilities in the Amateur League, consisting of two well kept full size playing pitches, one full size training pitch, a club house and a small grandstand for spectators.

The club currently has three senior teams: Newcastle FC, Newcastle Swifts and Newcastle Young Boys. Newcastle Swifts currently play in the Premier Division of the McCalls Newcastle & District league while Newcastle Young Boys play in Division 1 of the McCalls Newcastle & District league. The club has a number of youth teams playing in the National League, Lisburn Junior Invitational leagues and the Downpatrick Youth Football leagues (DYFL). The First Team is currently managed by Ruairi Doran and his assistants, Wayne Lennon, Eoghan Simons and Andy Wood.
Rathfriland Rangers Football Club is a Northern Irish intermediate football club, playing in the Premier Division of the Northern Amateur Football League. The club is based in Rathfriland, County Down, was formed in 1962 and joined the Newcastle & District League before attaining intermediate status and then joining the Amateur League in 1986. The club currently consists of four teams: the 1st XI (Rangers), 2nd XI (Reserves) 3rd XI (Colts)as well as an under-17 squad. Rathfriland Rangers currently play in The Premier Division of the Northern Ireland Amateur league, whilst the 2nd team is in the Mid-Ulster Football League Reserve Championship. The Colts are in Reserve division 2 of the Mid-Ulster Football League.
