Ares 110 Hercules is a multi-role fast patrol boat made in Turkey. The Royal Qatar Coast Guard Command ordered and received ten boats of this type.

Characteristics

The fast patrol craft was designed by the Antalya-based Ares Shipyard in cooperation with the British Maritime Technology (BMT), which is experienced in commercial and naval high-performance patrol vessels with lengths ranging from 9 m (30 ft) to 220 m (720 ft). [1]

Ares 110 Hercules was built at Ares Shipyard. She has a length of 34.47 m (113.1 ft), a beam of 7.56 m (24.8 ft), a draft of 1.45 m (4 ft 9 in) with a displacement of 130 tons. She has a cruise speed of 15 kn (28 km/h; 17 mph), max. 32 kn (59 km/h; 37 mph), and a service range of 800 nmi (1,500 km; 920 mi). [2]

The boat is powered by three MTU 12V2000M84 Diesel engines and three Rolls-Royce Kamewa 50A3 series waterjets. There are also two Caterpillar C4.4 Diesel engines as auxiliary. [2] [3]

The patrol boat features two Aselsan 12.7 mm Stabilized Machine Gun with IR imaging and remote control capability (STAMP), as well as one Aselsan 30 mm Muhafız, stabilized remotely controlled naval automatic cannon. [2]

She carries a rapid reaction boat of type Ares 24 Harpoon. [2]

The boat is operated by seven officers and petties, and 16 sailors. [2]

ICGV <i>Þór</i> (2009) Ship

ICGV Þór (Thor) is an UT 512L type offshore patrol vessel designed by Rolls-Royce for the Icelandic Coast Guard, built to replace the aging ICGV Óðinn. The construction of the ship was approved by the Icelandic government on 4 March 2005. Construction of the ship began at the ASMAR Naval Shipyard in Talcahuano, Chile, on 16 October 2007. Construction was delayed by over a year due to the 2010 Chilean earthquake, but damage to the structure of the ship was not as detrimental as had been expected. After repairs, the ICGV Þór was delivered to ICG personnel on 23 September 2011 in Chile. She arrived in Reykjavík on 27 October 2011. Its main tasks are EEZ patrol, fishery inspection and search and rescue support. The ship is named after the Norse god Thor.

The Ultra Fast Attack Craft, commonly known as the UFAC or Colombo class, is a Sri Lankan ultra high-speed class of patrol boats meant for a variety of naval missions from off-shore coastal patrol missions to high-speed, high-maneuver littoral warfare. They are based on the Shaldag boats made by Israel.

The Ukrainian patrol vessel Sloviansk (P190) was an Island-class patrol boat of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Originally named USCGC Cushing when in service with the United States Coast Guard, the vessel was acquired by Ukraine in 2018 and arrived in Ukraine on 21 October 2019. Sloviansk was sunk in combat on 3 March 2022 by a Russian air-to-surface missile.

<i>Kaan 29</i>-class patrol craft

Kaan 29-class fast patrol craft, known by the producer as Onuk MRTP 29, are boats of the Coast Guard Command of Turkey, built by Yonca-Onuk Shipyard in Istanbul. The first boat of its class – hull number TCSG-101 – was commissioned in 2001 and since then nine boats have been built. The last boat, TCSG-109, was delivered to the Turkish Coast Guard in April 2004.

USCGC Galveston Island is an Island-class patrol boat used by the United States Coast Guard for law enforcement and search and rescue duties. She was commissioned on 5 June 1992 and was the last of the Island-class patrol boats built. Her original homeport was Apra Harbor, Guam, but later changed to Honolulu, Hawaii, where she was decommissioned.

<i>Rani Abbakka</i>-class patrol vessel

The Rani Abbakka-class patrol vessel are a series of inshore patrol vessels being built by Hindustan Shipyard Ltd. for the Indian Coast Guard. They are based on Australian Thornycroft design.
