Ariel Chang (born 29 August 1980),now Ngalim Tiunn is a Taiwanese children's rights activist and politician.
Chang was born in Taipei County on 29 August 1980 and graduated from National Taiwan Ocean University. She earned a master's degree in communication,public relations,and advertising from Ulster University in Northern Ireland. [1]
Chang worked in public relations for Sanofi,Acuvue,and Mondelez International, [1] and later headed the organization Taiwan Parks and Playgrounds for Children by Children. [2] She was ranked third on the Democratic Progressive Party list for proportional representation. [3] [4] While formally registering her candidacy for the 2024 legislative election,Chang expressed hope that the government would consider children's' needs in the policymaking process. [5]
The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) is a centre to centre-left Taiwanese nationalist political party in Taiwan. As the dominant party in the Pan-Green Coalition,one of the two main political camps in Taiwan,the DPP is currently the ruling party in Taiwan,leading a minority government that controls the presidency and the central government.

A member of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP),she intermittently served as chair of the DPP from 2008 to 2012,2014 to 2018,and 2020 to 2022.

Lai Ching-te,also known as William Lai,is a Taiwanese politician and former physician who is currently serving as the 8th president of the Republic of China (Taiwan) since May 2024. He is the third member of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to assume the office of president and the first whose predecessor was also a DPP member. He is also the third incumbent vice president to succeed to the presidency and the first to assume the office through election instead of immediate succession. He has also served as the chair of the DPP since 2023.
Presidential elections were held in Taiwan on 16 January 2016. Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) candidate Tsai Ing-wen with her independent running mate Chen Chien-jen won over Eric Chu of the Kuomintang (KMT) and James Soong of the People First Party (PFP). Tsai became the first female president in Taiwan,as well as in the Chinese-speaking world.
Legislative elections were held in Taiwan on 16 January 2016 to elect all 113 members in the Legislative Yuan,alongside presidential elections. The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) led by Tsai Ing-wen,who also won the presidential election on the same day,secured a majority for the first time in history by winning 68 seats. The ruling Kuomintang (KMT) lost both the presidency and its legislative majority and returned to the opposition.
Wellington Koo Li-hsiung is a Taiwanese lawyer and politician. During his legal career,Koo represented several politicians. His own political career began with a term on the National Assembly,followed by an unsuccessful campaign for the Taipei mayoralty in 2013. In 2016,he was elected a legislator at large representing the Democratic Progressive Party. Koo left the Legislative Yuan to lead the Ill-gotten Party Assets Settlement Committee. In 2017,he became chairman of the Financial Supervisory Commission. Koo was appointed secretary-general of the National Security Council in 2020. Koo served in the role until 2024,when he was appointed minister of National Defense.

Yu Tian,born Yu Tsing-yuan,is a Taiwanese politician and pop singer in Mandarin and Hokkien. A member of the Democratic Progressive Party,Yu currently serves as a member of the Legislative Yuan and previously held the same seat from 2008 to 2012.

The Taiwan People's Party (TPP) is a centre-left political party in Taiwan. It was formally established on 6 August 2019 by Ko Wen-je,who serves as its first and current chairman. The party considers itself as an alternative third party to both the Democratic Progressive Party and Kuomintang.
Ann Kao Hung-an is a Taiwanese business executive and politician. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees from National Taiwan Normal University and National Taiwan University,respectively,before working as a researcher for the Institute for Information Industry. The institute subsidized Kao's doctoral study at the University of Cincinnati. She then worked for Foxconn until 2020,when she was elected to the Legislative Yuan as a member of the Taiwan People's Party (TPP). Partway through her legislative term,Kao was elected Mayor of Hsinchu during the 2022 local election cycle. On 26 July 2024,Kao was removed from office and withdrew from the TPP due to corruption allegations.
Loh Meei-ling is a Malaysian-born Taiwanese politician and educator. She was a member of the Nantou County Council from 2014 to 2020,when she was elected to the 10th Legislative Yuan. Lo followed Lin Li-chan as the second immigrant to Taiwan to serve as a member of the Legislative Yuan.
Tsai Pi-ru is a Taiwanese politician. She was a nurse and colleague of Ko Wen-je at National Taiwan University Hospital. After Ko was elected Mayor of Taipei in 2014,Tsai began her political career as Ko's chief of staff. In 2019,she became a founding member of the Taiwan People's Party led by Ko,and was elected to the 10th Legislative Yuan via party list proportional representation in 2020. Tsai resigned her legislative seat in 2022,and was replaced by Cynthia Wu.
