Magdalena is a department of Colombia, located to the north of the country by the Caribbean Sea. The capital of the Magdalena Department is Santa Marta and was named after the Magdalena River. It inherited the name of one of the original nine states of the United States of Colombia that its current territory integrated.
Cesar Department or simply Cesar is a department of Colombia located in the north of the country in the Caribbean region, bordering to the north with the Department of La Guajira, to the west with the Department of Magdalena and Department of Bolivar, to the south with Department of Santander, to the west with the Department of North Santander, and to the east with the country of Venezuela. The Cesar River is a river in northern Colombia which is a part of the Magdalena Basin. It flows through the Cesar-Ranchería Basin and separates the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta from the mountain ranges of the Serranía del Perijá, an extension of the Cordillera Oriental. It flows north to south, down from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in the Guajira Department onto the Cesar Department and flowing into the Zapatosa Marsh where it turns to the southwest and discharges into the Magdalena River. Valledupar is the only major city on its route.
Pueblo Bello, is a village and municipality in the northern region of the Department of Cesar, Colombia. It is located in the mountains of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and is home to Amerindians pertaining to the Arhuaco ethnicity, whom consider Pueblo Bello a sanctuary but by the name of Arumake in their language. Pueblo Bello is the main producer of coffee in the Caribbean Region of Colombia.

Ariguaní is a municipality of the Colombian Department of Magdalena. The municipality seat is the town of El Difícil. It is bordered by the municipalities of Nueva Granada, Sabanas de San Ángel, Pijiño and the Municipality of Bosconia. According to the last national census (2005), the population is 31,047 Ariguaní inhabitants, of whom 18,313 live in the urban center, and the remaining 12,734 live in rural areas.

He is doctor in history from UNED, the most important Spanish University in numbers, where he was Professor-tutor during 8 years. His thesis received the Valedictorian Academic Award in 1991. He has a PhD in Law in University Alfonso X, El Sabio, in Theology and Philosophy by Logos University, where he is a member of the Board of Regents. He is also a member of the Executive Council of the Inter-american Institute for Democracy. He is also member of the Academia Norteamericana de la Lengua Española since 2015. He has been collaborator of several media, as El Mundo, Diario 16, Periodico de Aragon and La Razon. He has hosted the radio show La Linterna on Cadena COPE from 2004 to 2009. That year he quit COPE to launch with Federico Jiménez Losantos a liberal radio, esRadio. In 2013 he abandoned that project too, due to disagreements with Jiménez Losantos.[5] Since 2014 he is the host of La Voz, a radio program broadcast from U.S.A, that has an international daily audience of over 600.000.

The Chimilas or Ette Ennaka are an indigenous people in the Andes of north-eastern Colombia. Their Chimila language is part of the Chibcha language family; there were estimated to be around 1000 speakers in 1998. At the time of the Spanish Conquest the Ariguaní River valley was the strategic centre of their territory. On the Serranía del Perijá mountains the Yukpas were also part of the Chimila confederation of tribes.

Hernán Pérez de Quesada, sometimes spelled as De Quezada, was a Spanish conquistador. Second in command of the army of his elder brother, Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada, Hernán was part of the first European expedition towards the inner highlands of the Colombian Andes. The harsh journey, taking almost a year and many deaths, led through the departments Magdalena, Cesar, Santander, Boyacá, Cundinamarca and Huila of present-day Colombia between 1536 and 1539 and, without him, Meta, Caquetá and Putumayo of Colombia and northern Peru and Ecuador between 1540 and 1542.
