ARK is the fourth and final studio album by English rock band We Are The Ocean. It was released on 11 May 2015 in the United Kingdom. The album spawned three singles: "Ark", "Do It Together", and "Holy Fire".
Recorded in the summer of 2014, [1] the band got new management on board, [2] after the release of their last studio album, Maybe Today, Maybe Tomorrow, released in 2012. This is the first album to be written solely by the new line up, without any help from previous vocalist Dan Brown, who put work into their last release. This album marks the full departure from their original post-hardcore and pop punk sound, in favour of a more indie rock tone.

ARK received mixed to positive reviews from critics. drownedinsound.com gave it an 8/10 praising non-stop rock n' roll flow, quoting "Each [track] is chock full of energy, watertight and detailed rhythm section work, and pummeling into a state of death by melody and counter-melody." [3]
Bring The Noise also gave the album a strong 8/10 review, they said "With one swift move, We Are The Ocean had evolved from a gritty post-hardcore outfit to a tightly wound alternative rock group that are capable of punching out a twelve song album that is the physical embodiment of everything that is good about modern alternative rock." [4]
Alreadyheard.com gave a more mixed review saying the album is powerful but they aren't sure who on We Are The Ocean's new sound, saying "At times 'Ark’ is modern and at others classy, but it's also raw and polished. Sure variation is a good thing to have but once you're finished with 'Ark’, you're left confused as to who or what We Are The Ocean are now." [5]
Mosh gave it a far more negative 2.5/5 stars quoting inconsistency in the album's sound. [6]

Isis was an American post-metal band formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1997. The band borrowed from and helped to evolve the post-metal sound pioneered by bands such as Neurosis and Godflesh, characterized by lengthy songs focusing on repetition and evolution of structure. Isis's last studio album, Wavering Radiant, was released on May 5, 2009. Isis disbanded in June 2010, just before the release of a split EP with the Melvins. In 2018, the group reformed as Celestial for a one-off show to pay tribute to Caleb Scofield.

Vision of Disorder is an American hardcore/metalcore band from Long Island, New York, that initially released three albums before disbanding in 2002. Cutting Our Teeth is the debut studio album by English post-hardcore band We Are the Ocean, after releasing two EPs. Promotional videos have been made for the songs "These Days, I Have Nothing" and "Look Alive". A video for "All of This Has to End" was recently made and has been highly requested on the Scuzz and Kerrang! music channels. It features noticeably change in Dan Brown's vocal style from the self-titled EP. "Cutting Our Teeth" was re-issued with a bonus disc including 4 previously unreleased songs and 9 previously released songs from the band's two previous EPs.

It was released on 17 September 2012 through Hassle Records in the United Kingdom and through SideOneDummy the next day, 18 September in the United States. The album is the first to be done by the band without their original lead vocalist Dan Brown, who was removed out of the band despite recording all his vocals for the album. The music featured on the album is seen as being a massive jump since the last album, Go Now and Live, marking the beginning of their decline from hardcore, to a more fluid alternative rock sound.
Being as an Ocean is an American post-hardcore band from Alpine, California, formed in 2011. They have released five studio albums: Dear G-d..., How We Both Wondrously Perish, a self-titled album, Waiting for Morning to Come, released on 8 September 2017, and PROXY: An A.N.I.M.O. Story, released in 2019. How We Both Wondrously Perish was released in May 2014 and charted at number 57 on the Billboard 200 in the U.S.
Fragile Figures is the second studio album by American post-hardcore band Secrets released through Velocity and Rise Records on July 23, 2013. It is the band's second album produced by Tom Denney, and the first and only release with vocalist Aaron Melzer. The album sold over 10,000 copies on its first month, and reached number 59 on Billboard 200 chart in 2013. The deluxe edition of the album was released on May 27, 2014, with 3 new songs and a remix of the track "Ready for Repair". It is the only release to include former vocalist Aaron Melzer before his departure in 2015 and death in 2020.
