Joseph Chung and Joseph Abella, who go by the stage name ARMNHMR, [a] are Los Angeles, California-based [1] [2] musicians, DJs, and record producers. [3] While existing in the electronic dance music (EDM) scene ARMNHMR is represented by Monstercat, [4] Dim Mak, Barong Family, Brednbutter, [a] and Armnhmr LLC. [a] [5] They have collaborated with other artists such as Abandoned, Medyk, Nurko and Synymata. [6] [7]

Early life

As a child, Chung reportedly grew up in a household that was into music and dance which sparked his interest in EDM. Abella on the other hand took an interest in electronic music after attending Electronic Daisy Carnival in Los Angeles. [8] Chung and Abella met while attending California State Polytechnic College, Pomona and the two took an interest in producing music after attending multiple music festivals with each other. [9]

Career

The duo begun their career taking smaller gigs in and around Koreatown, [10] Los Angeles and begun releasing music in 2015. Using Ableton Live, [11] the pair released their first song, "Fallen", on October 13, 2015. [12] After almost 4 more years of releasing singles and remixes, their debut album, "The Free World" was released on February 7, 2020. [13] The Album contained 13 tracks and featured a number of singers that the duo would continue to work with on future projects including Melanie Fontana and Nevve. Accompanying the release of the album, "The Free World Tour" was announced which featured 24 stops within the United States and Canada. [14] 3 years later on August 31, 2023, the duo released their second album, "Together as one". [15] The second album featured 10 tracks and a "Together as one" accompanying tour was announced that included a number of shows in North America. [16] In March of 2024, the duo announced that they would be resident DJs at the Wynn— becoming the first Asian American EDM duo to be resident DJs at a major club on the Las Vegas strip. [17] The duo has played at a number of electronic music festivals including Electronic Daisy Carnival, Beyond Wonderland, and S2O. [18]

Adam Puleo, better known by his alias Wooli, is an American briddim, riddim and dubstep DJ and producer. He is known for the songs "Island" and "Another Me", with the prior being a collaboration with American dubstep producers Seven Lions and Trivecta and the latter being a collaboration with Seven Lions and Canadian producer and DJ Excision. "Island" peaked at the No. 20 position on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart in early 2019. Jesse Kardon, better known by his alias Subtronics, is an American dubstep DJ and producer from Philadelphia, United States. He is best known for his song "Griztronics", a collaboration with Michigan-based electronic music artist GRiZ that peaked on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs at the No. 9 position in late 2019. Kardon peaked at No. 10 on Billboard's Next Big Sound chart in September 2019. Kardon is married to fellow producer and Dubstep DJ, Sonya Broner, also known by her alias Level Up.

Richard Nakhonethap, known by the stage name Knock2, is an American DJ and music producer from San Diego, California. His music typically combines elements of bass house, trap, and many other musical genres. Nakhonethap is also a member of ISOKNOCK, an electronic music duo composed of himself and ISOxo. He has collaborated with popular EDM artists including Dillon Francis, NGHTMRE, and RL Grime. Nakhonethap's increase in popularity has been attributed to energetic DJ sets at standalone shows and festivals in combination with viral social media marketing.
