The Armored Task Force is a computer wargame developed by ProSIM Company and published by Shrapnel Games in 2002. [1] The lead developer was Pat Proctor, the founder of ProSIM Company.

Gameplay

The game is a combat simulation that includes four campaigns in the following settings:

The gameplay framework was built on the real-time gameplay of its predecessor, BCT Commander. [2] The game has an AI and hierarchy system that allows players to command their forces, from individual vehicles to larger units.

The game engine for Armored Task Force inspired a series of ProSIM games, including The Falklands War: 1982, [3] [4] Raging: The Second Korean War, [5] [6] and The Star and the Crescent. [7] [8]

Crysis is a first-person shooter video game series created by Crytek. The series revolves around a group of military protagonists with "nanosuits", technologically advanced suits of armor that give them enhanced physical strength, speed, defense, and cloaking abilities. The protagonists face off against hostile North Korean soldiers, heavily armed mercenaries, and a race of technologically advanced aliens known as the Ceph, who arrived on Earth millions of years ago and have recently been awakened. The series consists of three main installments, a standalone spinoff of the first game with a separate multiplayer title, and a compilation. It is the fifth instalment of the Strategic Wargames series. The game is set during the 1982 Falklands War and revolves around the Argentine occupation and subsequent British re-capture of the Falkland Islands. The player controls the British Task Force as they must either defeat all Argentine forces on the archipelago or re-capture every settlement.
