International Military-Technical Forum "Army" is an event organized by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. It includes special projects, such as International Exhibition of High-Performance Equipment and Technologies for the Rearmament of Defense Enterprises "Intelligent Industrial Technologies" and the specialized exhibition "Innovation Club".

In 2023, the forum was held from August 14 to August 20. [13] On weekdays, the exhibition was open to potential buyers. Over the weekend, the forum was open to civilians.

In addition, the Special Operations Forces Command was established in 2013, with an estimated strength in 2022 of 1,000, possibly with additional supporting staff.

The T-90 is a third-generation Russian main battle tank developed to replace the T-72. The BTR-80 is an 8×8 wheeled amphibious armoured personnel carrier (APC) designed in the Soviet Union. It was adopted in 1985 and replaced the previous vehicles, the BTR-60 and BTR-70, in the Soviet Army. It was first deployed during the Soviet–Afghan War.

JSC Rosoboronexport is the sole state intermediary agency for Russia's exports/imports of defense-related and dual use products, technologies and services. The Rosoboronexport Federal State Unitary Enterprise (FSUE) was set up in 2000 by a Decree of the President of Russia and is charged with implementation of the policy of the State in the area of military-technical cooperation between Russia and foreign countries. The 9K720 Iskander is a mobile short-range ballistic missile system produced and deployed by the Russian military. They travel at a terminal hypersonic speed of 2100–2600 m/s and can reach an altitude of 50 km as they range up to 500 km. The missile systems (Искандер-М) were intended to replace by 2020 the supposedly-obsolete OTR-21 Tochka systems in the Russian military.

Ratnik is a Russian future infantry combat system. Some components, including the communication systems and night vision technologies, have extremely limited military distribution. It is designed to improve the connectivity and combat effectiveness of combat personnel in the Russian Armed Forces. Improvements include modernised body armour, a helmet with a special eye monitor, communication systems, and special headphones. It includes 10 subsystems and 59 individual items.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Orsis T-5000</span> Sniper rifle

The Orsis T-5000 is a Russian bolt-action sniper rifle. It was the first product developed by ORSIS, and is produced in their Moscow factory. The rifle was introduced in 2011 at the international exhibition of Russian weapons in Nizhny Tagil, and is entirely original, using no third-party components. According to General Director of the Institute for Precision Machine Engineering TsNIITochMash, Dmitry Semiozerov: "As of 2017, the newest sniper complex T-5000 "Precision" was adopted by the FSB, the FSO, and Rosgvardiya".

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Borisoglebsk-2</span> Russian electronic warfare system

The Borisoglebsk 2 is a Russian, MT-LBu ground vehicle mounted, multi-functional electronic warfare (EW) weapon system. It was developed by Sozvezdie over a six-year period, from 2004 to 2010. The system was however not ordered, or for other reasons not manufactured or delivered, at once to the Russian military. Starting in February 2015, it has been manufactured and delivered by UIMC to the Russian armed forces. It is designed to disrupt communications and GPS systems. Borisoglebsk 2 achieved initial operating capability in 2010, but was not ordered and delivered to Russian military until February 2015. Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported that Borisoglebsk 2 was the core system for electronic warfare in the Russian Army, controlling four types of jamming units from a single point.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Defence industry of India</span> Overview of sector

The defence industry sector of India is a strategically important sector in India. India has one of the world's largest military forces with a strength of over 14.4 lakh active personnel. It has the world's largest volunteer military of over 51 lakh personnel. The total budget sanctioned for the Indian military for the financial year 2021 is 4.78 lakh crore. It has the third largest annual defence budget behind USA and China. It is the second largest defence importer behind Saudi Arabia making up 9.2% of global arms import. India has a domestic defence industry of which 80% is government owned. The public sector includes DRDO and its 50 labs, 4 defence shipyards, 12 defence PSUs. India has a new defence procurement, acquisition and manufacturing policy to reduce imports and enhance domestic manufacturing.
