Ratnanagar is a municipality in Chitwan District of Bagmati Province in Nepal. It is the second biggest municipality after Bharatpur Metropolitan City that was formed in 1997 through the merger of the former Village Development Committees Old-Ratnanagar and Panchakanya. It is adjacent to Chitwan National Park, and serves as a gateway to the park. Agricultural products produced from Ratnanagar includes rice, maize, mustard and vegetables. The former Gunjanagar VDC and Saradanagar VDC were merged on 18 May 2014 to form new Chitrawan Municipality, which later was merged with Bharatpur. Subas Chandra Nembang (Limbu) (Nepali: सुवासचन्द्र नेम्वाङ (लिम्बु); 11 March 1953 – 12 September 2023) was a Nepalese politician who served as chairman of Constituent Assembly of Nepal. He was the first elected Free Students Union chairman of Mahendra Ratna Campus in Ilam and also elected as general secretary of Nepal Bar Association in 2023. He died on Tuesday 12 September 2023 because of heart attack.
