Radio career
On April 2, 2007, Regner returned to WDFN Sports Radio 1130, debuting as a guest co-host on the Stoney & Wojo show for the Detroit Tigers home opener. Regner began his career at WDFN as an original on-air voice. He covered the Detroit Lions and Detroit Red Wings, hosting post game shows for each team. Regner became especially beloved for his passionate rants on WDFN's Detroit Lions' post game shows and for how he managed callers with similar frustrations. He also hosted a Red Wings weekly show with Chris Osgood as a frequent guest.
WDFN is a sports-talk radio station in the Detroit, Michigan market. It broadcasts in the AM radio band at 1130 kHz, which is a clear-channel frequency. WDFN is not considered a clear-channel station because of its Class B status. WDFN is owned by iHeartMedia, and until the end of the 2008-09 NBA season, was the flagship station for the Detroit Pistons. When WXYT won Detroit Tigers & Detroit Red Wings broadcast rights in 2000, the entire station adopted a Sports Talk format and Regner was the first WDFN on-air personality to join "Team 1270." He was later joined by fellow 'DFNers Pat Caputo, Marc Spindler and Terry Foster.

The station serves the Detroit-Windsor market and the Southeastern Michigan and Southwestern Ontario areas. Its transmitter is in Monroe County at Ash Township and operations and studios are at Entercom's facilities in Southfield, Michigan. The Detroit Red Wings are a professional ice hockey team based in Detroit. They are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL) and are one of the Original Six teams of the league. Founded in 1926, the team was known as the Detroit Cougars until 1930. For the 1930–31 and 1931–32 seasons the team was called the Detroit Falcons, and in 1932 changed their name to the Red Wings.
The station changed its tag line several times as the Detroit Lions eventually signed a broadcast rights deal with WXYT and their FM partner WKRK respectively. Regner was a major pre and post game voice on Red Wing broadcasts and professed to be "Lions Free" after being let down one too many times by the Honolulu Blue and Silver.
WXYT-FM, 97.1 The Ticket, is a commercial sports radio station owned by Entercom, licensed to Detroit, Michigan and serving Metro Detroit. Most programming is local with CBS Sports Radio supplying overnight and some weekend shows.
In 2005, he became co-host of The Big Show with Doug Karsch, which aired weekdays from 3PM until 7PM in direct competition with WDFN's anchor show and ratings leader, Stoney and Wojo. Karsch and Regner were heavily promoted and often broadcast from locations, like the Tigers series in Chicago and 2006 play-offs in Yankee Stadium. Yet WXYT was constantly tinkering with their line-up, even dropping the all-sports format for a spell when Opie and Anthony replaced a local morning show hosted by Scott "The Gator" Anderson and Marc Spindler. In December 2006, Regner's contract was not renewed by WXYT in an apparent cost-cutting move. A week later WKRK fired Mark Wilson and Rob Parker, hosts of Parker & The Man in a similar local sports radio downsize. Regner being let go prompted many loyalists to email notes of thanks to then GM Kevin Murphy.

Michael "Mike" Stone, is an on-air host for 97.1 The Ticket WXYT-FM. He is the former host of the Stoney and Wojo radio show on WDFN in Detroit, Michigan until it was canceled on January 20, 2009. He was a blogger and chat host on mlive.com until signing with 97.1 in December 2009. Stone also appears weekly on WXYZ-TV's Sunday night sports newscast to offer his editorial opinion on the latest sports issues.
Bob "Wojo" Wojnowski is an American reporter and columnist for The Detroit News and host of a radio show on WXYT-FM in Detroit, Michigan. Wojnowski also appears often on Fox 2 WJBK's Sunday Night Sports Works roundtable.
Regner's non-compete clause after being released by WXYT ended March 29, 2007. He rejoined WDFN publicly on air for Detroit Tigers Opening Day, co-hosting with Mike Stone on April 2, 2007. He has been part of WDFN since that day.
In March 2011, Regner became the featured blogger at FoxSportsDetroit.com and his blog quickly became one of the websites most popular destinations. He also host a weekly show called "Lunch with Art" on FoxSportsDetroit.com interviewing many local and national Sports celebrities. Art is also a valued member of St. Damian's Red Softball Team, and one of the founding members of the Relics.
WJR is a radio station in Detroit, Michigan, United States. It is owned by Cumulus Media and broadcasts a News/Talk format. Its studios are located in the Fisher Building in the New Center neighborhood of Detroit, while its transmitter is located in the Downriver community of Riverview.

Terry Foster is an American sports columnist and radio personality in Detroit. He co-hosted Valenti & Foster on WXYT-FM The Ticket, a sports radio station, with Mike Valenti for 13 years until his retirement. It can be listened to worldwide on The Ticket's website. Foster wrote a book called 100 Things Tiger Fans Should Know and Do Before They Die. He also co-wrote The Great Detroit Sports Debate with fellow Detroit writer Drew Sharp. He is a sports columnist for The Detroit News and also writes enterprise pieces on the Detroit Lions, a twice a week page two column and daily blog at detnews.com. He began his broadcasting career in the 1990s on WDFN in Detroit before moving to WXYT. Of the many broadcasters who have moved between the Detroit sports radio rivals, only Foster has worked at WDFN twice and WXYT twice.
Mark Wilson is a Detroit sports radio broadcaster and a former Associated Press and Michigan Association of Broadcasters' "Michigan Sportscaster of the Year" and former columnist in Detroit's cultural weekly Real Detroit and The Observer & Eccentric newspapers. Wilson co-hosted Parker & The Man with Rob Parker on three different Detroit radio stations for close to a decade in the Detroit market. The final run ended on Detroit's 1200 AM WCHN on June 9, 2008.
Ryan Field is an American sportscaster who is currently a Sports Anchor on WABC-TV's Eyewitness News Weeknight and Saturday Morning Newscasts. He is a native of Troy, Michigan, and a graduate of Michigan State University.

Kenneth Kalczynski, known professionally as Ken Kal, is an American sports announcer and reporter for WXYT AM 1270 in Detroit, as well as the radio play-by-play commentator for the Detroit Red Wings of the NHL. He enters his 24th season with the Detroit Red Wings in the 2018–19 NHL season. Kal's first season was with WJR and he now can be heard giving the play-by-play for every Wings game on 97.1 FM "The Ticket" along with Paul Woods.

Matthew Shepard is an American television play-by-play announcer for the Detroit Tigers on Fox Sports Detroit. He has also covered professional, collegiate and high school sports in the Metro Detroit area since the 1990s.
Matthew Dery is an American sportscaster and former midday host at Detroit Sports 105.1 - WMGC-FM, a sports radio station near Detroit, Michigan. Dery was the Sports Director at WDFN from 1996 to 2009, after working for WHK Radio in Cleveland, Ohio. Dery announced his resignation from WDFN in mid-March, and accepted an update anchor position at competitor WXYT-FM, where he resigned in July 2013, rounding out his 17 years of experience as a Detroit sportscaster.
The Detroit Lions Radio Network is a radio network that broadcasts all of the NFL's Detroit Lions games and related programming. All preseason, regular season, and postseason games are aired live throughout the network. WJR in Detroit is its flagship station. As a maximum power clear-channel station, WJR can be heard carrying Lions games from hundreds of miles away on clear nights. The announcers are WJBK sports director Dan Miller with play-by-play and former Lions offensive tackle Lomas Brown with color commentary. Network coverage begins one hour before game time and ends one hour after the game's conclusion.
