Arti Mehra

Arti Mehra was Mayor of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) from 2007 to 2009. [1] She was replaced by Prithvi Raj Swahney. She represents the Hauz Khaz ward in South Delhi for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She was born in Nangal in the Indian state of Punjab, and graduated from the Miranda House. She had done a course in marketing in the United States. She had previously served as the chairperson of health committee in MCD. [2]

In the 2013 Delhi state assembly elections, Mehra lost to Somnath Bharti of the Aam Admi Party by nearly 8,000 votes. She also represented India in the United Nations on climate change. [3]

Municipal Corporation of Delhi

Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) was the former municipal corporation that governed 8 of the 11 districts of the state of Delhi, India. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi was replaced by three new bodies, the North Delhi Municipal Corporation, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation and the East Delhi Municipal Corporation in 2012. "The MCD was among the largest municipal bodies in the world providing civic services to more than estimated population of 11 million citizens in the capital city." MCD was one of three municipalities in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, the others being New Delhi Municipal Council, and Delhi Cantonment Board. The municipal corporation covered an area of 1,397.3 km² (539.5 mi²).

Malviya Nagar is a locality in South Delhi. It is between Saket and Hauz Khas and close to IIT Delhi. It is named after the freedom fighter Madan Mohan Malviya who was also an educator and founded Banaras Hindu University.

Dilip Pandey Indian politician

Tejasvi Surya Member of Lok Sabha from Bangalore South

Lakya SuryanarayanaTejasvi Surya is an Indian politician, RSS swayamsevak and lawyer serving as the Member of Parliament in the 17th Lok Sabha from the Bharatiya Janata Party, representing the Bangalore South constituency. Dushyant Kumar Gautam is an Indian politician. He is a National General Secretary of the Bhartiya Janata Party. Adesh Kumar Gupta Indian politician

Adesh Kumar Gupta is an Indian politician. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) and the president of party's Delhi unit. Starting his political career as a twelfth-grade student when he joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, he remained active in student politics when he attended Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University. His association with the Ram Mandir Movement led to his arrest and he was imprisoned for a year at Kanpur in 1991. He joined the Bharatiya Yuva Morcha when he moved to Delhi from his home district of Kannauj in 1994. He campaigned in the 2017 Municipal Corporation of Delhi election successfully from the West Patel Nagar ward and became the Mayor of North Delhi Municipal Corporation in April 2018, remaining in office till 29 April 2019. He was appointed president of Delhi BJP on 2 June 2020 by the National President of the BJP, Jagat Prakash Nadda, following the resignation of Manoj Tiwari.
