Artur Kacper Szalpuk (born 20 March 1995) is a Polish professional volleyball player who plays as an outside hitter for Projekt Warsaw and the Poland national team. [1] Szalpuk won a gold medal at the 2018 World Championship held in Italy.
On 2 April 2015, Szalpuk was called up to the Poland national team by head coach Stéphane Antiga. After the training camp in Spała he went to team B of Polish national team led by Andrzej Kowal. He took part in 1st edition of 2015 European Games, where his national team took 4th place. In July he joined team A of Poland on matches with United States during intercontinental round of World League 2015 in Kraków. He made his debut in senior team on 4 July 2015 in lost match with United States (1–3).
On 30 September 2018 Poland achieved title of the 2018 World Champion. [2] Poland beat Brazil in the final 3–0 and defended the title from 2014.
The Poland men's national volleyball team represents Poland in international volleyball competition. The team is directed by the Polish Volleyball Federation, the governing body for volleyball in Poland, which represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches.
Andrea Anastasi is an Italian professional volleyball coach and former player. He was a member of the Italy national team from 1981 to 1991, and during his career won the 1990 World Champion title. Since the 2023–24 season, he has been serving as head coach for Gas Sales Piacenza.
Stéphane Antiga is French professional volleyball coach and former player. He was a member of the France national team from 1998 to 2010, and a participant in the Olympic Games Athens 2004. He serves as head coach for Savino del Bene Scandicci.
Krzysztof Ignaczak is a Polish former professional volleyball player. He was a member of the Poland national team from 1998 to 2014, a participant in 3 Olympic Games, the 2014 World Champion, 2012 World League winner, and the 2009 European Champion.
Bartosz Kamil Kurek is a Polish professional volleyball player who plays as an opposite spiker for ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle and the Poland national team. Kurek took part in 4 Olympic Games winning silver medal in Paris. He also won the 2018 World Champion title as well as the 2009 and the 2023 European Championship titles. In 2019, he became the first ever volleyball player to be voted the Polish Sports Personality of the Year.
