Arutla Kamala Devi is an indian politician,freedom fighter and leader of Communist Party of India. She represented Alair constituency from 1952 to 1967 with 3 consecutive terms. She was among the leaders and fighters in the armed freedom struggle against the rule of Nizam (the last ruler of the erstwhile princely state of Hyderabad). The communists joined with the poor peasants in the present day Telangana state during the 1940s to overthrow the Nizam's feudal regime. It was a sub movement in the larger independence struggle of India. She is the first woman opposition leader in India. [1] [2]
Sarojini Naidu was an Indian political activist and poet. She was the former Governor of Uttar Pradesh. A proponent of civil rights,women's emancipation,and anti-imperialism,she played an important role in the Indian independence movement against the British Raj. She was the first Indian woman to be president of the Indian National Congress and to be appointed governor of a state.

The Razakars were the paramilitary volunteer force of the nationalist party in the Hyderabad State under the British Raj. Formed in 1938 by the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen leader Bahadur Yar Jung,they expanded considerably during the leadership of Qasim Razvi around the time of Indian independence. They were deployed in the cause of maintaining Muslim rule in Hyderabad and resisting integration into India. Described as "enthusiastic" and "disciplined",they targeted only Hindu families of the state of Hyderabad.

She was also Union Minister of State (MoS) for external affairs in the cabinet of I. K. Gujral. She died in Syracuse,New York,on December 31,2014,aged 82.

Gurram Yadagiri Reddy was a freedom fighter of Telangana rebellion and a veteran politician at Communist Party of India. He was elected as a member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly three times. He represented Ramannapeta constituency from CPI. He was renowned freedom fighter during the Telangana peasants armed struggle at the time of the Nizam regime. Leaders from across the political spectrum remember Reddy as a simple and honest man “one who sent his children to government schools,never bought a car or a house”and a "role-model Communist”. He believed and followed communist ideology and moral philosophy until his last breath.
AghorenathChattopadhyay (1851–1915) was an Indian educationist and social reformer. First Indian to secure a D.Sc. degree,he later became the first principal of Nizam College,Hyderabad. The renowned poet and Indian political activist Sarojini Naidu was his eldest daughter.
