Arutla Kamala Devi is an indian politician,freedom fighter and leader of Communist Party of India. She represented Alair constituency from 1952 to 1967 with 3 consecutive terms. She was among the leaders and fighters in the armed freedom struggle against the rule of Nizam (the last ruler of the erstwhile princely state of Hyderabad). The communists joined with the poor peasants in the present day Telangana state during the 1940s to overthrow the Nizam's feudal regime. It was a sub movement in the larger independence struggle of India. She is the first woman opposition leader in India. [1] [2]
Sarojini Naidu was an Indian political activist and poet who served as the first Governor of United Provinces,after India's independence. She was the first Indian woman to be president of the Indian National Congress and appointed governor of a state.

Osmania Medical College,formerly known as Hyderabad Medical School,is a public medical college in Hyderabad,Telangana,India. It was founded in 1846 by the 5th Nizam of Hyderabad and Berar,Afzal ud Dowla,Asaf Jah V. The college was originally affiliated to Osmania University system,now it is affiliated to the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences,and the Osmania General Hospital. After the establishment of the Osmania University in 1919,the school was renamed Osmania Medical College,after the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad,Mir Osman Ali Khan. The College stands 48th in the National NIRF Medical University Rankings 2024.

Andhra Mahasabha was a people's organisation in the erstwhile Hyderabad state of India. It was an association started by Telugu people of Telangana region against Nizam rule. The people of Telangana formed the Andhra Mahasabha as they could not tolerate the injustice being done to the Telugu language and Telugu culture. In the late 1920s,under the leadership of Madapati Hanumantha Rao,the Telugu people united and formed a union and organized 13 Andhra Mahasabhas from 1930 to 1945. The activities of the Andhra Mahasabha in the Telangana region created awareness among the people against the Nizam and led to the armed struggle in Telangana. Anabheri Prabhakar Rao was a Telangana communist guerrilla leader and is also considered a foremost authority of the Telugu language. He was an Indian freedom fighter,considered to be one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian independence movement. He was an intellectual,military theorist,diplomat and major figure of the Telangana Rebellion. He died fighting against the Nizam and Razakars.
Ramadevi Choudhury,also known as Rama Devi,was an Indian freedom fighter and a social reformer. She was called Maa (Mother) by the people of Odisha. The Ramadevi Women's University in Bhubaneswar has been named after her.

She was also Union Minister of State (MoS) for external affairs in the cabinet of I. K. Gujral. She died in Syracuse,New York,on December 31,2014,aged 82.

Gurram Yadagiri Reddy was a freedom fighter of Telangana rebellion and a veteran politician at Communist Party of India. He was renowned freedom fighter during the Telangana peasants armed struggle at the time of the Nizam regime. Leaders from across the political spectrum remember Reddy as a simple and honest man “one who sent his children to government schools,never bought a car or a house”and a "role-model Communist”. He believed and followed communist ideology and moral philosophy until his last breath.
AghorenathChattopadhyay (1851–1915) was an Indian educationist and social reformer. First Indian to secure a D.Sc. degree,he later became the first principal of Nizam College,Hyderabad. The renowned poet and Indian political activist Sarojini Naidu was his eldest daughter.
Raj Bahadur Gour was a freedom fighter and trade unionist. He was active with the Comrades Association and the Communist Party of India,and at the forefront of the 1946–1947 Telangana Rebellion against the Nizam of the erstwhile Hyderabad state. He was founder general secretary of the AITUC affiliated All Hyderabad Trade Union Council of which Makhdoom Mohiuddin was the president. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 1952 while in jail.
