Arvind Malik (born 14 June 1993) is an Indian para athlete from Haryana. He competes in the shot put F35 category. He qualified to represent India at the 2024 Summer Paralympics at Paris. [1]
Malik is from Haryana, India. Hit by a cricket ball on his head at the age of 9, he suffered an injury that was diagnosed with neural damage which paralyzed his left leg. His younger brother, a hammer throw athlete, encouraged him to take up para throws. He started with discus throw but later shifted to shot put. [2] He is currently supported by Olympic Gold Quest, a sports NGO.
Malik finished 7th at the delayed 2020 Tokyo Paralympics in the men's shot put F35 event with a best throw of 13.48m in a field of eight throwers. [3] He took part in the 2018 Asian Para Games. A few months before the Asiad, he shifted from F37 category to F35, where throwers use standing position, but still finished fifth. [4]
India made its Summer Paralympic debut at the 1968 Games, competed again in 1972, and then was absent until the 1984 Games. The country has participated in every edition of the Summer games since then. It has never participated in the Winter Paralympic Games.
Deepa Malik is an Indian athlete. She started her career at the age of 30. She is the first Indian woman to win a medal in Paralympic Games and won a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in shot put. She also won gold in the F-53/54 Javelin event at the para athletic Grand Prix held in Dubai in 2018. She is currently the world number one in the F-53 category. She has won accolades for her participation in various adventure sports. She is associated with Himalayan Motorsports Association (H.M.A.) and Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (F.M.S.C.I.). She has undertaken an 8-day, 1,700-km drive in sub-zero temperatures which included a climb to 18,000 feet (5,500 m). It was – Raid De Himalaya. This journey covers many difficult paths including remote Himalayas, Leh, Shimla and Jammu.
Rinku Hooda is an Indian para javelin thrower who competes in the F46 category. He represented India at the 2016 Summer Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. He qualified to represent India at the 2024 Summer Paralympics at Paris, his second Olympics.
Sundar Singh Gurjar an Indian Paralympic athlete from Rajasthan. He competes in javelin throw, shot put and discus throw in F46 category events. He won bronze medal at Tokyo 2020 Paralympics in men's javelin F46 event. He qualified to represent India at the 2024 Summer Paralympics at Paris.

Yogesh Kathuniya is an Indian Paralympic athlete who specializes in the discus throw. He represented India at 2020 Summer Paralympics where he won a silver medal in the men's discus throw F56 event. He qualified to represent India at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris.
Sumit Antil is an Indian paralympian and javelin thrower. He qualified to represent India at the 2024 Summer Paralympics at Paris, his second Olympics.
Tek Chand is an Indian Paralympic shot putter and javelin thrower. He was born in the Rewari district of Haryana, and was disabled due to a road accident. He represented India in the 2020 Paralympic Games held in Tokyo in the men's shot-put F55 category. He was made the flag-bearer of the Indian contingent at the opening ceremony, replacing the quarantined Mariyappan Thangavelu. He finished last out of eight competitiors in the event, managing a best of 9.04 metres. He was originally listed for the men's F54 javelin, but later relisted. He has won the bronze medal in the 2018 Asian Para games.
Navdeep Singh is an Indian Paralympian and javelin thrower. He finished fourth in men's javelin throw F41 category at the 2020 Summer Paralympics. He qualified to represent India at the 2024 Summer Paralympics at Paris, his second Olympics.
Rampal Chahar is an Indian Paralympic athlete from Haryana, who competes in the men’s high jump. He represented India at the 2016 Rio Paralympics and 2020 Tokyo paralympics where he stood 6th and 5th respectively. He qualified to represent India at the 2024 Summer Paralympics at Paris, his third Olympics.
