Asad Raza (born 25 December 1997) is a Pakistani cricketer. [1]

Career

During the Inter-Region U19 Tournament organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board in September 2016, Raza, representing Faisalabad, achieved the distinctive feat of taking all 10 wickets in a single innings. [2] [3] This performance was instrumental in Faisalabad's win against Hyderabad at the Niaz Stadium. [4]

Raza made his List A debut for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the 2017 Pakistan Cup on 25 April 2017. [5] He made his first-class debut for Faisalabad in the 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on 9 October 2017. [6] He made his Twenty20 debut for Faisalabad in the 2017–18 National T20 Cup on 12 November 2017. [7]

The 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was the 60th edition of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Pakistan's domestic first-class cricket competition. It was contested by 16 teams representing eight regional associations and eight departments, and took place from 26 September to 25 December 2017, spanning almost two weeks less than originally planned. Pakistan's former Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq was critical of the compressed schedule and the quality of the pitches saying "it takes time to prepare a good pitch for a game and nobody can make it in two days".

The 2017–18 National T20 Cup was a Twenty20 domestic cricket competition that was played in Pakistan. It was the 14th season of the National Twenty20 Cup in Pakistan. It was originally scheduled to take place in August and September 2017 with eight teams competing. However, in August 2017, the tournament was postponed until November 2017 because of the 2017 Independence Cup and Pakistan's series against Sri Lanka. All the matches were originally scheduled to be played at the Multan Cricket Stadium and the Iqbal Stadium. Following the revision of the competition's schedule, all the fixtures took place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

It was the sixteenth season of the National T20 Cup in Pakistan, and took place during a break in Pakistan's domestic first-class tournament, the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. The same six teams playing in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy played in the T20 Cup, with the top four progressing to the semi-finals.

Northern cricket team was a domestic cricket team in Pakistan representing Rawalpindi Division, Islamabad Capital Territory, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir. It competed in domestic first-class, List A and T20 cricket competitions, namely the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Pakistan Cup and National T20 Cup. The team was operated by the Northern Cricket Association.

The 2020–21 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was a first-class domestic cricket competition that took place in Karachi, Pakistan, from 25 October 2020 to 5 January 2021. Central Punjab cricket team were the defending champions. Central Punjab started their title defence poorly, with no wins from their first five matches. Despite being bottom in the table at the half-way point of the tournament, they won four of the next five matches to finish second in the table, advancing to the final with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
