History

Aspire Furniture was founded on 14 March 2013 by Paul Nicholas Murphy, Kit Burgoyne and is headquartered in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Initially focused on furniture wholesale, Aspire has expanded into UK manufacturing and direct-to-consumer ecommerce under the Aspire Store brand. [1] [2] [3]

In 2017, it took over a 15,000 sq ft factory after making the decision to start manufacturing its own products. In July 2021, the company announced a new 64,603 sq ft warehouse in Leeds. [4]

In April 2025, Aspire secured a 56,400 sq ft logistics facility in Leeds, with reported annual turnover of £22 million and more than 100 employees. [4] [5]

Products

Aspire Furniture designs and manufactures upholstered beds, ottoman beds, divans, mattresses, and headboards. Its products are handmade in the UK and sold via its own ecommerce platform AspireStore.co.uk, as well as through major UK retailers. [4]

Collaborations

Aspire has partnered with interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen on a branded furniture collection sold via Aspire Store. [6] [7]
