Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) is an organisation of academics in India who teach in the area of pharmacy. It was established in 1966 by Prof. M. L. Schroff, Prof G.P. Srivastava and others of pharmacy colleges of those days. [1] [2]

University of the Sciences in Philadelphia was a private university in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. USciences offered bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in pharmacy and other health-related disciplines. The university was conceived in 1821 and chartered in 1822 as Philadelphia College of Pharmacy (PCP), the first pharmacy college in the nation. Avinash K. Dorle was an Indian scientist and professor of pharmaceutical sciences. He was formerly the head of the University Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nagpur University, India. He also served as the president of Maharashtra Pharmacy Council (1982–98), and Indian Pharmaceutical Association. He received an emeritus professorship from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)(1995–1997). He continues to serve as President of Central India Pharmacy Promotion and Research Association (CIPPARA) and as faculty at Department of Cosmetic Technology, Nagpur University.

Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) is a state-funded deemed university in Mumbai, India. The institute also has campuses at Bhubaneswar, Odisha and Jalna, Marathwada. It is focused on training and research in the fields of chemical engineering, chemical technology, and pharmacy. It was established in 1933 and was granted deemed university status in 2008, making it the only state-funded deemed university in India. On 12 February 2018 it was given the status of Category 1 institute with graded autonomy by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and the University Grants Commission (India). It is also an institute with a special status as mentioned in SECTION IV of the Report of the Empowered Expert Committee in 2018.

Ramachandra Dattatraya Lele is a physician from India. He established the department of Nuclear Medicine at Jaslok Hospital. Over the years he has worked in medical education, practice, research and hospital administration. He held the roles of Professor and Department Head at Mumbai's Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals. His autobiography, 'Pursuit of Excellence' was published in 2017.

Bishnupada Mukerjee or Bishnupada Mukhopadhyaya was an Indian pharmacologist and orthopedic surgeon, known for his contributions in the fields of pharmacological research and standardization of drugs in India. The Government of India honoured him in 1962, with the award of Padma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award for his services to the nation.

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPERs) are a group of national level institutes of pharmaceutical sciences or Pharmacy school in India. The Government of India has declared the NIPERs as Institutes of National Importance. They operate as autonomous bodies under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.

Harkishan Singh was Professor Emeritus at the Panjab University. He was a well recognized pharmaceutical academic, medicinal chemistry researcher and science historian. He had more than half a century experience in his respective fields to his credit. He worked at the Banaras Hindu University, University of Saugar, and the Panjab University in India, and abroad at the University of Maryland, University of Mississippi and the University of London.

He is the Professor of Pharmaceutical technology at the Jadavpur University and former Director of the School of Natural Product Studies, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India.

The Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Research is a quarterly peer-reviewed open-access medical journal covering pharmaceutics, biopharmaceutics, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmacy practice, clinical pharmacy, and pharmacy education. It is published by the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India and the editor-in-chief is M. Ahmed.
