The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) is a trade union representing staff in the Nigerian Civil Service.
The union was founded in 1978, when the Government of Nigeria merged the Association of Senior Civil Servants with the Eastern Regional Land Surveyors' Union. [1] It has had a long-running demarcation dispute with the Nigeria Civil Service Union. [2]
In 1986, the union affiliated to the loose Senior Staff Consultative Association of Nigeria, and by 1995, it had 60,000 members. In 2005, it was a founding affiliate of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria. [3] [4] In 2020, Innocent Bola-Audu was elected as the union' president. [5] He was replaced by Tommy Etim Okon in 2021. [6]

Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria popularly known as PENGASSAN is a Nigerian trade union formally established in November 1979. The union's jurisdiction is upper and middle level employees in the petroleum and gas industry as opposed to the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, whose jurisdiction include junior staff members of the oil and gas industry. The election—which was postponed from its original 11 March date — was held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent PDP Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel was term-limited and could not seek re-election to a third term. Former commissioner Umo Eno held the office for the PDP by a 34% margin over first runner-up and YPP nominee — Senator Bassey Albert Akpan.
