The vast territory of Kazakhstan spans across 2,700,000 km2 (1,000,000 sq mi). The population density is low in Kazakhstan, and the centers of industry and agriculture are spread out and remote from world markets.

The Kuala Lumpur railway station is a railway station located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Construction began in 1910 and was fully completed in 1917. It replaced an older station on the same site, the station was Kuala Lumpur's railway hub in the city for the Federated Malay States Railways and its successor Keretapi Tanah Melayu, before Kuala Lumpur Sentral assumed much of its role in 2001. The station is notable for its architecture, adopting a mixture of Eastern and Western designs.

The airport is the second-busiest international air passenger gateway into Central Asia, the 8th busiest airport in the Post-Soviet states and the second-busiest airport in terms of passenger traffic in Kazakhstan, with 6,001,471 passengers in 2022.

Manshuk Mametova International Airport, also known as Oral Ak Zhol Airport, is an airport in Kazakhstan located 12 km (7 mi) southeast of Oral (Uralsk). The airport is located south of the Oral River.
The Astana Metro is a future light rail rapid transit system located in Astana, Kazakhstan, which is the capital of the country with a population of over 1,000,000. Construction should have finished roughly about the same time as the Almaty Metro, which was estimated for 2010. However, completion has been postponed several times, in 2011 completion was scheduled to coincide with the Expo in 2017 and as of October 2017 the first stage is planned to be commissioned in December 2019. Project authority Astana LRT LLP signed an agreement with a consortium of China Railway International Group and Beijing State-Owned Assets Management Co for construction of the first phase of the capital’s light rail project on May 7, 2015. Construction began in May 2017.
Sibiryak was a passenger train which linked Berlin to some of main routes and cities of Russia. The train passed through Germany, Poland, Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan, partly traveling on the Trans-Siberian Railway. With 5,130 km from Berlin to Novosibirsk it was the longest route of any that depart from a station within the European Union. The train service was discontinued with effect from 14 December 2013, due to lack of demand. The line was not actively promoted to potential customers by the Deutsche Bahn, but it was available in their search engine.
The coat of arms of Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, was originally adopted on 5 June 2008, with it being readopted on 18 November 2022, two months after the city changed its name after the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a constitutional amendment to revert to the name Astana.
Astana is the capital of Kazakhstan. Founded as Akmoly, it was once the seat of an okrug of the Russian Empire from 1830, it was granted town status and the name was modified to Akmolinsk in 1832. Although damaged during revolts in 1838, Akmolinsk continued to be a center of Russian colonial administration and to grow over the course of the 19th century.

Astana-Nurly Zhol is a main train station and bus station in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. As part of the infrastructure build up to Expo 2017 the station is located near Mynzhyldyk Alley with a new capacity of 35,000 it was opened on June 1, 2017.
Alikhan Muhamediauly Baimenov is a Kazakh politician who served as a member of the Mazhilis from October 2006 to June 2007, chairman of Ak Zhol Democratic Party from March 2005 to July 2011 to which he was a nominee of in the 2005 Kazakh presidential election.
Snap presidential elections were held in Kazakhstan on 9 June 2019 to elect the President of Kazakhstan following the resignation of long-term President Nursultan Nazarbayev in March 2019. This was the sixth presidential election held since Kazakhstan's independence. The elections were not free and fair, and were widely denounced as a sham. Acting president Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Nur Otan won the election.
Legislative elections were held in Kazakhstan on 10 January 2021 to elect the members of the Mäjilis. This was the 8th legislative election in Kazakhstan's history since its independence. It coincided with the 2021 local elections. This election marks the first to be held under Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's presidency and the first since 2004 to be held at the normally scheduled date, rather than due to an early dissolution of the Mäjilis.
The Astana-Saparjai-1 is a bus station located in the city of Nur-Sultan. The bus station serves more than 60 intercity, interregional and international routes daily, which carry about 1 million passengers a year.
The Astana City Mäslihat is a unicameral legislature of Kazakhstan’s capital city of Astana. The councillors of the City Mäslihat are elected concurrently with the MP's of the Mäjilis. The City Mäslihat councillors perform their duties by approving plans, economic and social programs for the city's development.
