Astrid Sonne is a Danish singer-songwriter and violist. As of February 2024, she is based in London. [1]
Astrid Sonne was born and raised in Bornholm, a small island of Denmark. At six years old, she began playing the viola and, at 16, she moved to Copenhagen. She joined a strict classical training before quitting at 18, moving to digital composition — she learned how to use Ableton Live by herself. After discovering Danish musician Hari Shankar Kishore, known professionally as DJ HVAD, Sonne started refining an electronic style that focused more on melody than on percussion. [2]
On 16 February 2018, Astrid Sonne released the album Human Lines, where she tried to combine her classical upbringing with electronic composition. [3] She followed it with the EP Cliodynamics on 4 October 2019, which is mostly electronic. [4] It was preceded by the singles "Area Under a Curve" and "Strong, Calm, Slow". [5] In 2020, she was included in the compilation album Kulør 006. [6] Sonne released the album Outside of Your Lifetime, which is mostly instrumental, on 22 September 2021. It was included in Pitchfork 's lists of "Great Records You May Have Missed" for Autumn 2021 [7] [lower-alpha 1] and Pitchfork and Paste named it as one of the best electronic albums of the year. After releasing the EP Ephemeral Camera Feed on 18 March 2022, [10] Sonne released the single "How Far". [11] In June of that year, Pitchfork included the EP in their list of best albums of the year up to that point. [12] Her third studio album, Great Doubt, was released on 26 January 2024. [1] [4] [13] It was preceded by the single "Boost". [14] The Face chose it as one of the best releases of the first quarter of the year. [15] In March, she did a joint show with ML Buch. [16] She later formed the duo Coined alongside Fine Glindvad, a Danish lo-fi folk musician. The Face and Paper highlighted their song "Your Home" in May. [17] [18]

Kieran Hebden, known as Four Tet, is an English electronic musician. He came to prominence as a member of the post-rock band Fridge before establishing himself as a solo artist with charting and critically acclaimed albums such as Rounds (2003), Everything Ecstatic (2005) and There Is Love in You (2010). In addition to his twelve studio albums as Four Tet, Hebden's work includes a number of improvisational works with jazz drummer Steve Reid and collaborations with Burial and Thom Yorke.

"Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" is a song recorded by the American producer Skrillex. It is the second track from his second extended play, Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites, released on October 22, 2010, through Mau5trap and Big Beat. Karen Marie Aagaard Ørsted Andersen, known professionally as MØ, is a Danish singer and songwriter. She began her career in the mid-2000s as a member of the punk duo MOR and releasing a handful of side projects. After MOR disbanded in 2012, MØ signed a recording contract with Sony Music Entertainment, releasing her debut extended play, Bikini Daze (2013), and her debut studio album, No Mythologies to Follow (2014).
Alejandra Ghersi Rodríguez, known professionally as Arca, is a Venezuelan musician and record producer based in Barcelona, Spain. She initially began releasing music under the name of Nuuro. After attending the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, Ghersi first released the EP Baron Libre (2012) under the name Arca and subsequently released the EPs Stretch 1 and Stretch 2; the latter experimented with hip hop and brought her attention from prominent music publications.

Cheetah is an extended play record by the electronic music artist and producer Aphex Twin. It was released on 8 July 2016 on Warp. The name is a reference to Cheetah Marketing, a British manufacturer of microcomputer peripherals and electronic musical instruments in the 1980s.

Blane Muise, better known by her stage name Shygirl, is an English singer, DJ, rapper, songwriter and co-head/founder of record label and collective Nuxxe. Shygirl's music incorporates elements of dance music, industrial hip-hop, experimental pop, grime and deconstructed club. She has also been associated with the hyperpop music scene.
