Athina-Thessaloniki (Athens to Thessaloniki) is a Greek television series, that was aired in season 1997-98 by ERT1. The series was written by Nikos Mouratidis and it starred Spyros Papadopoulos and Filareti Komninou. It stood out for its soundtrack composed by Evanthia Reboutsika and performed by Nana Mouskouri. Plot

A musician and a philologist live in the two biggest Greek cities, Athens and Thessaloniki. They are both married, but when they fall in love between them, they collide with their families. Eventually, their relationship ends to a dead-end mostly because of the distance of their residence places. [1]

The 2010–11 Greek Football Cup was the 69th edition of the Greek Football Cup. A total of 67 clubs had been accepted to enter, after the withdrawal of Egaleo, Kalamata and Pyrsos Grevena and their relegation to Delta Ethniki. The competition commenced on 4 September 2010 with the First Round and concluded on 30 April 2011 with the Final, held at Olympic Stadium. The final was contested by Atromitos and AEK Athens, with AEK winning 3-0.

Daniil Papadopoulos is a former Greek footballer that played in several positions throughout his career. He was born in Thessaloniki and played youth football with Olympos Dendropotamou before starting his professional career with Iraklis. Papadopoulos spent his entire professional career with Iraklis and he is the all-time leader for Iraklis with 419 appearances. Papadopoulos is also the second all-time goalscorer of Iraklis with 64 goals. He managed to gain 5 caps for Greece. Papadopoulos also had a brief career in management, as an assistant and caretaker manager of Iraklis and as a manager in second and third tier teams.

<i>Super Demetrios</i> 2011 Greek film

Super Demetrios is a 2011 Greek guerrilla ultra-low-budget superhero comedy film starring and written by the cinematic comedy group OtiNaNai Productions and directed by Georgios Papaioannou. Upon its release at the 52nd Thessaloniki International Film Festival the film got the highest number of audience votes in the history of the festival and became an instant cult classic, with all screenings being sold out in all venues thereafter.

The 2013–14 Greek Football Cup was the 72nd edition of the Greek Football Cup. A total of 46 clubs, 16 less than last edition, were accepted to enter. The competition commenced on 14 September 2013 with the First Round and concluded on 26 April 2014 with the Final at the Olympic Stadium between Panathinaikos and PAOK, with Panathinaikos winning 4–1.

The 2015–16 Greek Football Cup was the 74th edition of the Greek Football Cup. A total of 34 clubs were accepted to enter. The competition commenced on 9 September 2015 with the preliminary round and was planned to conclude on 23 April 2016 with the final, at the Olympic Stadium.

The 2016–17 Greek Football Cup was the 75th edition of the Greek Football Cup. Just as last year's edition, a total of 34 clubs were accepted to enter. The competition commenced on 14 September 2016 with the Preliminary Round and concluded on 6 May 2017 with the Final. The winner of the competition was PAOK for fifth time.
