Atilla Kuzu (born 11 August 1963 in Istanbul) is a Turkish interior designer and furniture designer.

Biography

He studied Industrial Design at Marmara University and graduated in 1987. He founded Zoom TPU in 1994 with architect Levent Çırpıcı. His design Taklamakan was selected as a finalist in 1999 at IFDA (International Furniture Design Fair Asahikawa) "Design with love, love with wood" furniture design competition. [1] Taklamakan has been chosen for the collection of the museum MARTa Herford which is one of the most distinguished museum of Europe presenting contemporary works; bringing together the art, design and architecture of Frank Gehry, one of the most important architects alive. [2] His another work Barringer coffee table was selected among the works of another 820 designers in 2002 again at IFDA. Barringer coffee table is now among the catalogue of Conde House Europe along with Atilla Series which consists of a series of furniture designed by Atilla Kuzu. [3] [4] He was selected as one of the 50 most creative Turks. [5] His interior design works are influenced by fractal design.

Liberty style Italian variant of Art Nouveau

Liberty style was the Italian variant of Art Nouveau, which flourished between about 1890 and 1914. It was also sometimes known as stile floreale, arte nuova, or stile moderno. It took its name from Arthur Lasenby Liberty and the store he founded in 1874 in London, Liberty Department Store, which specialized in importing ornaments, textiles and art objects from Japan and the Far East. Major Italian designers using the style included Carlo Bugatti, Raimondo D'Aronco, Eugenio Quarti, and Galileo Chini. The major event of the style was the 1902 Turin International Exposition, which featured by works of both Italian designers and other Art Nouveau designers from around Europe.

Peter Biľak Slovak graphic and typeface designer

Peter Biľak is a Slovak graphic and typeface designer, based in The Hague, The Netherlands. He works in the field of editorial, graphic, and type design, teaches typeface design at the postgraduate course Type&Media at the KABK, Royal Academy of Art.
