Dato' Masir anak Kujat is a Malaysian politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sri Aman from March 2008 to November 2022. He has been a member of the Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) since 7 March 2019. He left PSB to become an independent MP in March 2022. Masir lost his Sri Aman federal seat on the November 2022 Malaysian general election to Doris Sophia Brodie from Gabungan Parti Sarawak in a 4-way fight. He previously served as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs II in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Najib Razak and former Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi from July 2015 to the power loss of BN coalition in May 2018. He was a member of Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS),a former component party of Barisan Nasional (BN) and now Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalitions,from 2008 to 2019.
The United Sabah National Organisation (New) (Malay:Parti Pertubuhan Kebangsaan Sabah Bersatu (Baru);abbrev:USNO (Baru)) is a political party in Sabah,Malaysia. The party was formed in 2013 with the aim of reviving the long-buried struggle of USNO (Lama). The establishment of the new USNO Party was inspired by the struggle of Tun Mustapha Harun from the dissolved old USNO party in favor of the peninsula-based UMNO. This revived political party is also one of the main component parties of the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah coalition (GRS) since March 2022.

Mohamed Hanipa bin Maidin is a Malaysian politician and barrister who served as the Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of legal affairs in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration under former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad and former Minister Liew Vui Keong from July 2018 to the collapse of the PH administration in February 2020 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sepang from May 2013 to November 2022. He is a member of the National Trust Party (AMANAH),a component party of the PH coalition. and was a member of Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS). He and other progressive PAS leaders referred to as the G18 were ousted at the 2015 PAS Muktamar. This led them to launch Gerakan Harapan Baru (GHB),which took over the dormant Malaysian Workers' Party,after their attempt to form a new party called Parti Progresif Islam (PPI) was rejected by the Home Affairs Ministry. GHB was later rebranded as AMANAH with Mohamad Sabu as its 1st President.

He served as State Minister of Education and Innovation of Sabah in the Heritage Party (WARISAN) state administration under former Chief Minister Shafie Apdal from May 2018 to the collapse of the WARISAN administration in September 2020,Deputy Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat from May 2004 to December 2007 and Member of Parliament (MP) for Sipitang from April 1995 to March 2008. He is a member of the Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (GAGASAN),a component party of the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition. He was a member of the WARISAN,before leaving the party on 8 October 2021 to become an independent in support of the ruling GRS coalition. He was also member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) which he left in 2018. On 22 May 2022,he confirmed that he had applied to rejoin and was pending return to BN and UMNO after leaving them four years ago. However,his application was not accepted before he withdrew the application and joined GAGASAN instead on 21 January 2023.
