Attenborough Football club is a football club based in Attenborough, Nottinghamshire, England. The club is affiliated with the Nottinghamshire County Football Association. [1]
The club was formed in 1947 and were originally called Attenborough St Marys. [2] The club played in the Long Eaton League. [2] In 1973 the club joined Division One of the Central Alliance, gaining promotion to the Premier division at the first attempt. [3] Two seasons later in the 1975–76 season the club would win the Premier division. [3]
The club joined division one of the Midland League for the 1976–77 season, and staying there until the end of the 1981–82 season. [4] The 1983–84 season saw the club become one of the founding members of the Central Midlands League. [4] After nine seasons the club joined Division Two of the Nottinghamshire Senior League. [4] The 1995–96 season saw the club finish as runners-up in Division Two gaining promotion to Division One, the following season saw another promotion to the Senior Division where they have remained since. It forms part of the Greater Nottingham area and is 4+1⁄2 miles (7.2 km) to the south-west of the city of Nottingham, between Long Eaton and Beeston. It adjoins the suburbs of Toton to the west and Chilwell to the north. The population of the ward, as at the 2011 Census, was 2,328.

Sutton Town A.F.C. was a football club based in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, England. The previous club was a member of the Northern Counties East League Premier Division until 2007 when they resigned, but the new club joined the Central Midlands League Premier Division, three levels lower in the English football league system, and later played in the East Midlands Counties League. The team was reformed in 2020, and was initially accepted into the Notts Senior league, but they never started the seasons fixtures. They then began playing friendlies in Spring 2021 ahead of again joining the Notts Senior League. They played against Nottinghamshire, Nuthall AFC, Trent Vineyard and Rushcliffe Reserves although the results were not made public.
