Audiobulb Records is a Sheffield based record label founded in August 2003. [1] The label is curated by David Newman, [2] [3] [4]

Audiobulb Records is an exploratory music label designed to promote creativity in all its forms. Audiobulb releases artist works on CD & download formats as well as multimedia works, Virtual Studio Technology, audio hardware and other creative tools. Our aim is to facilitate the development of new artists and embrace the complexity of unique electronics, intricate acoustics and detailed microsound. [5] The label specialises in minimal music, with their releases branching between post-classical, experimental ambient, and electronica. [6] They've released over 100 albums to date. [7] [8]

Bedrock Records

Bedrock Records is an English record label for trance, progressive house and techno started by Nick Muir and John Digweed. Its name comes from a long running and successful club night held in Hastings and also at Heaven nightclub, London - both also called Bedrock. Bedrock Records has released many singles from artists such as Astro & Glyde, Brancaccio & Aisher, Steve Lawler, Shmuel Flash, Steve Porter, Sahar Z, Guy J, Henry Saiz, Stelios Vassiloudis, Electric Rescue, The Japanese Popstars and Jerry Bonham. Chapter Music is one of Australia's longest-running independent record labels. Chapter Music has worked with a broad range of mostly Australian artists, in genres such as rock and roll, indie pop, post punk, country and western and folk. Between 1992 and 2013, the label released around 45 titles, including several compilation albums, such as Can't Stop It! Australian Post-Punk 1978-82 and Songs For Nao. The label's 2014 roster features bands such as Dick Diver, Beaches and Twerps.

DreamWorks Records American record label

DreamWorks Records was an American record label founded in 1996 by David Geffen, Steven Spielberg and Jeffrey Katzenberg as a subsidiary of DreamWorks Pictures. The label operated until 2003 when it was sold to Universal Music Group. The label itself also featured a Nashville, Tennessee-based subsidiary, DreamWorks Nashville, which specialized in country music and was shut down in 2006. The company's logo was designed by Roy Lichtenstein and was his last commission before his death in 1997.

R&S Records

R&S Records is an independent record label founded in 1983 in Ghent, Belgium.

The Undisputed Truth was an American Motown recording act, assembled by record producer Norman Whitfield as a means for being able to experiment with his psychedelic soul production techniques. Joe "Pep" Harris served as main lead singer, with Billie Rae Calvin and Brenda Joyce Evans on additional leads and background vocals.

FAX +49-69/450464 was a German record label founded in Frankfurt in 1992 by ambient musician Peter Kuhlmann. It was originally devoted to Namlook's collaborations with other German electronic artists, primarily in hard trance and hardcore styles, but soon expanded with the debut of the ambient Silence and Air projects; consequently, ambient and downtempo music became the predominant focus of the label.

Heldon was a French electronic rock band originally active between 1974 and 1978, and led by guitarist Richard Pinhas. Other members included synthesizer player Patrick Gauthier and drummer François Auger. The name of the band was taken from the 1972 novel The Iron Dream by Norman Spinrad.

Sa-Ra is an American musical group based in Los Angeles, California, also known by its full name, The Sa-Ra Creative Partners. The group is composed of Om'Mas Keith, Taz Arnold, and Shafiq Husayn. The name translates roughly to "the children of God." The group's name, style and creativity are allusions to the similarly named jazz composer Sun Ra. Their music has been described as progressive soul, neo funk, and alternative hip hop.

12k is an American independent record label, based in Pound Ridge, New York, United States. It was founded on January 1, 1997, by Taylor Deupree. The label focuses on experimental electronic music, specifically on digital minimalism and contemporary forms; as of 2021, it has released over 100 albums and become one of "the most consistent, and consistently excellent, record companies in the electronic music world." Notable artists appearing in the label's catalogue include Alva Noto and Frank Bretschneider.

<i>Cyclic Defrost</i>

Cyclic Defrost is an Australian specialist electronic music magazine. It was founded and edited by Sebastian Chan, with current editors Bob Baker Fish, Chris Downton and Peter Hollo. It covers independent electronic music, avant-rock, experimental sound art and left field hip hop.

Erdem Helvacıoğlu Musical artist

Erdem Helvacioglu is an electronic musician from Turkey. He has collaborated with artists Mick Karn, Kevin Moore, John Wilson, Kazuya Ishigami, and Saadet Turkoz. In addition to his work as an electronic musician, Erdem also composes music for theatre, film and multimedia productions, and produces for popular and rock music bands in Turkey. He has received numerous international awards including prizes from the Luigi Russolo and Insulae Electronicae Electroacoustic Music Competitions.

Howard Stelzer Musical artist

Howard Stelzer is a composer of electronic music, whose work is made primarily from sounds generated by cassette tapes and tape players. From 1997 until 2012, he ran the independent record label Intransitive Recordings.

Finn McNicholas aka Ultre is an electronic music musician from England.

Aphonia Recordings is an independent record label founded by Ben L. Robertson and Andrew Senna in Seattle, Washington in 2006. Mostly regarded as an outlet for digital releases of experimental and ambient musicm, Aphonia also has released more pop oriented artists such as Desolation Wilderness and Slim Twig. Both signed with major labels.

:papercutz Portuguese electronic music act

:PAPERCUTZ is a Portuguese Electronic music act formed as a side project in Porto that became a fully active band in 2008. Bruno Miguel is the only official member of Papercutz and solely responsible for its musical direction. After recordings, Bruno assembles a live band to perform with him which may include musicians used on studio recordings. Past musicians have included vocalists Melissa Veras, a US singer with Portuguese ascendancy born in New York and Portuguese Marisa Pinto, Marcela Freitas as well as instrumentalists Bruno Ribeiro, Tiago Morgado and Francisco Bernardo, among others.

Home Normal is a Tokyo based record label founded in December 2008 and launched in March 2009. The label was curated by Ian Hawgood, co-run with Ben Jones, with design assistance from Jeremy Bible and Christian Roth until 2016. Based exclusively in Tokyo, Home Normal is on hiatus until re-opening at the end of 2020 when it will be run by a group of friends based in Japan.

Mercury KX

Mercury KX (MKX) is a British, London-based modern classical, electronic, and avant-garde music record label formed in 2016. Artists signed to the label have included Ólafur Arnalds, Anoushka Shankar, Guy Sigsworth, Jonny Greenwood, Keaton Henson, Luke Howard, Sebastian Plano, and Lambert.

Will Long is an American artist and musician. His music is "mostly created using tape loops", "primarily from personal memories and thought experiments", which "capture very specific instances in Long’s life." He is known for his collaboration with Danielle Baquet-Long in the band Celer, and for his continuation of Celer after her death in 2009. He is also known for his work producing deep house music under his own name, described as "deep, expansive affairs, riven with vocal samples culled from political speeches". He has lived in Tokyo, Japan since 2010.
