The firm was founded as an architectural and interior design partnership by Michael Aukett in 1972. [2] It acquired Fitzroy Robinson & Partners in 2005 to become Aukett Fitzroy Robinson [3] and then acquired the European arm of Swanke Hayden Connell to form Aukett Swanke in December 2013. [4] [5]

Michael Claude Aukett (1938-2020) was a British architect who established a successful architecture practice Michael Aukett Associates in 1972, later becoming Aukett Plc. He retired in 2009.
