Muhammad Aun Saqlain Chaudhry is a Pakistani politician who has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since February 2024. He was also an advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif on tourism and sports from April 2022 to August 2023.
He married former actress Noor Bukhari in 2012 but ended their relationship after a few months. They eventually remarried in 2020. [1] However his marriage certificate is questionable as Noor Bukhari was still in Nikkah of her former spouse when they both got married.
He previously served as Chief Coordinator to the Chief Minister of Punjab,Usman Buzdar,from December 2020 to August 2021. [2]
He is the brother of dissident PTI MPA Amin Chaudhry,who voted for Hamza Shehbaz in the 2022 Chief Minister of Punjab Elections. [3] In 2018,soon after the general elections,Aun was appointed as Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab,in which position he served until 2020. [4]
He was asked to resign from the Punjab Cabinet after the sugar scandal cases against Jahangir Tareen;however,the Punjab government denied receiving his resignation. [5] [6] [7]
Later he was dismissed from his office. Imran Khan expelled him from PTI in July 2021 on advice of his wife Bushra Bibi. He was a candidate for NA-128 Lahore-XII in the 2024 Pakistani general election,running as a member of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party. Independent journalists such as Secunder Kermani expected the seat to be overwhelmingly won by the PTI-affiliated candidate Salman Akram Raja,on the basis of voter interviews. [8] However,while Form 45 from the Election Commission of Pakistan showed Raja with a decisive lead,the more final Form 47 reported Chaudhry as having won 172,576 votes to Raja's 159,024 votes. Raja,PTI supporters,and independent journalists claimed the ECP Form 47 results showed clear evidence of rigging by the Army,and the Lahore High Court issued a stay on a final declaration of the results by ECP until a hearing could be fixed to investigate the matter. Chaudhry Parvez Elahi Warraich is a Pakistani politician who was the Chief Minister of Punjab from late 2002 to late 2007 and again from late 2022 to early 2023. He was a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from August 2018 till January 2023,when he,as chief minister,dissolved the assembly. In 2023,he left the Pakistan Muslim League (Q) and joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) along with his son,Moonis Elahi,and 10 other former PML(Q) MPAs over political rifts with the party president and cousin,Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. He was appointed as,and is currently serving as the president of the PTI. He also served as the president of the Punjab Division of the PML(Q).
Makhdum Khusro Bakhtyar is a Pakistani politician who recently served as Pakistan's Federal Minister for Industries &Production. Previously,he has served as Federal Minister of Economic Affairs,Federal Minister of National Food Security and Research and Federal Minister for Planning,Development and Reforms in the PTI Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. He had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 2002 to 2008,2013 to 2018 and 2018 till 2023.
Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is a Pakistani politician and businessman who is currently serving as the 23rd prime minister of Pakistan since March 2024,having previously served in the post from April 2022 to August 2023. He has also served as the president of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N). Previously in his political career,he served as the chief minister of Punjab three times,making him the longest-serving chief minister of Punjab.

Muhammad Hamza Shahbaz Sharif is a Pakistani politician,businessman,and the eldest son of current Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He served as the Leader of the Opposition in the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from September 2018 to April 2022,and resumed this role on 20 October 2022 and continued until the dissolution of the assembly. He briefly held the position of Chief Minister of Punjab from 30 April 2022 to 26 July 2022. His tenure as a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab spanned from August 2018 to January 2023. Prior to this,he was a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from June 2008 to May 2018.
Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon is a Pakistani politician who has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since February 2024 and previously served in this position from August 2018 till August 2023 &March 2016 to April 2018. He was a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as well as Provincial Minister Punjab from 2002 to 2007.

General elections were held in Pakistan on 25 July 2018 to elect the members of the 15th National Assembly and the four Provincial Assemblies. The three major parties were Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI),led by Imran Khan,the Pakistan Muslim League,led by Shehbaz Sharif,and the Pakistan People's Party,led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the most seats in the National Assembly but fell short of a majority;the party subsequently formed a coalition government with several smaller parties. At the provincial level,the PTI remained the largest party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP);the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) retained its dominance in Sindh;and the newly formed Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan. In Punjab,the result was a hung parliament,with the Pakistan Muslim League (N) winning the most seats. However,after several independent MPAs joined the PTI,the latter became the largest party and was able to form a government.

Abdul Aleem Khan is a Pakistani politician and businessman from Lahore. Abdul Aleem Khan currently serves as a member of the National Assembly after being elected from Constituency NA 117,Shahdara Lahore in the general elections held on 8 February 2024. Abdul Aleem Khan owns PEMRA Samaa TV and Vision Group. He was also the Senior Minister of Punjab and Minister of Food from 2020 to 2021. He also served as a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from August 2018 to 2021. He announced his separation from politics on Twitter in a tweet. Later in a statement to the media,he said that he had no intentions of joining politics again and that he would focus on the welfare through the Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation. In June 2023 he launched the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party along with Jahangir Khan Tareen. He is a founding member and the incumbent president of the party.
NA-128 Lahore-XII is a newly-created constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan. It mainly comprises the Model Town Tehsil along with areas of Lahore Cantonment Tehsil,Walton Cantonment and Lahore City Tehsil.
Fawad Ahmed Hussain Chaudhry is a Pakistani politician who served as federal minister for Information and Broadcasting,in office since 14 April 2021 to 10 April 2022. On 24 May 2023 announced he is taking "break" from politics.
Omar Sarfraz Cheema is a Pakistani politician who has been a founding member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). He served as the Governor of Punjab for a little over a month,from 3 April 2022 till 10 May 2022 amidst the 2022 Constitutional crisis in Punjab,Pakistan. On advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif he was removed as Governor and ceased to hold office on 10 May 2024. Cheema was replaced by Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman on 30 May 2022,despite resistance from the President of Pakistan,Arif Alvi. Alvi conceded and approved the replacement of Cheema. He has been held in prison since 2023 in alleged relation to the May 9 riots and has been incarcerated while being denied proper facilities while imprisoned.
The constitutional crisis in Pakistan's Punjab province began on 28 March 2022,when Usman Buzdar tendered his resignation as Chief Minister at the request of Prime Minister Imran Khan and nominated former Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi to replace him. On 1 April 2022,his resignation was accepted by then Governor of Punjab,Chaudary Mohammed Sarwar.
By-elections were held in Punjab,Pakistan on 17 July 2022 to elect 20 members of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf won a landslide victory on 15 of those 20 seats,leading to the collapse of Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz's PML(N)-led coalition government,as it became 7 seats short of a majority.
Provincial elections were held in the Pakistani province of Punjab on 8 February 2024 to elect a new provincial legislature. On 5 August 2023,the results of the 2023 digital census were approved by the Council of Common Interests headed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Therefore,elections have been delayed for several months,as new delimitations will be published on 14 December 2023,as announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). On 2 November 2023,the ECP announced,in agreement with the President of Pakistan,Arif Alvi,that the elections will be held on 8 February 2024. The election was held concurrently with nationwide general elections and other provincial elections.
Salman Akram Raja,is a Pakistani attorney and politician who has provided legal counsel to numerous prominent Pakistani political figures,including past Prime Ministers of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan. He has been serving as the secretary general of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) since 7 September 2024 and as head of legal affairs for the party since 21 August 2024.
