Austertana (Norwegian), Juovlavuotna (Northern Sami), or Jouluvuono (Kven) [2] is a village in Deatnu-Tana Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The village is located along one of the inner bays of the large Tanafjorden, east of Rustefjelbma in northeastern Tana. The village is home to the Austertana Chapel. Austertana has the world's second largest quartzite quarry.

The Norwegian County Road 890 runs through the village. That road is the only road access to Båtsfjord Municipality and Berlevåg Municipality to the northeast on the Varanger Peninsula.

Geatnjajávri is a lake in Berlevåg Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The lake is located just north of the border with Tana Municipality, along the road between the villages of Berlevåg and Båtsfjord. The Norwegian County Road 890 crosses over the lake on a causeway and bridge on the western side of the lake. The lake has a dam on the northern end and the water eventually flows out into the river Kongsfjordelva.

The Tanafjord is a large fjord in Finnmark county, Norway. It is located in the municipalities of Tana, Gamvik, and Berlevåg. Its orientation is mainly north–south, reaching approximately 65 kilometres (40 mi) from the small village of Smalfjord in Tana Municipality in the south to the mouth of the fjord at the Barents Sea. The fjord separates the Nordkinn Peninsula in the west from the Varanger Peninsula in the east.

Skiippagurra is a village in Deatnu-Tana Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The village is located to the east of the Tana River, approximately 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south of the municipal centre, Tana bru. According to Statistics Norway, the village had 254 residents in 2008. Skiippagurra is a trading place in Tana municipality. The trading post is located on the east side of the river, about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south of Deanu šaldi.

Nordkinnhalvøya is a peninsula in Finnmark county, Norway. It is the northernmost part of mainland Europe. The peninsula is shared between Lebesby Municipality and Gamvik Municipality. Human settlement is mostly concentrated on the northern shores and at the base of the peninsula, while the middle parts of the peninsula are sparsely inhabited. The main villages on the peninsula are Mehamn, Gamvik, and Kjøllefjord—all located on the northern shore. Slettnes Lighthouse near Gamvik is the northernmost lighthouse on mainland Europe.

Tana Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Deatnu-Tana Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. It is located in the village of Rustefjelbma. It is the main church for the Tana parish which is part of the Indre Finnmark prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The unique, brown, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1964 using designs drawn up by the architect Esben Poulsson (1907-1974) to replace the old church that was burned down by the retreating German forces towards the end of World War II. The church seats about 300 people.

Austertana Chapel is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Deatnu-Tana Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. It is located in the village of Austertana. It is one of the churches for the Tana parish which is part of the Indre Finnmark prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1958 by the architect Trond Dancke. The church seats about 144 people.

Polmak is a former municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The 2,257.5-square-kilometre (871.6 sq mi) municipality existed from 1903 until its dissolution in 1964. The area is now part of Tana Municipality. The administrative centre was the village of Polmak where Polmak Church is located.
