Austin William Russell Lewis (born 5 December 1932) was an Australian politician.
Born in Melbourne,he was educated at the University of Melbourne before becoming a solicitor,company director and farmer. On 7 December 1976,he was appointed to the Australian Senate as a Liberal Senator for Victoria,filling the casual vacancy caused by the death of Liberal Senator Ivor Greenwood. He held the seat until his retirement in 1993. [1]

Sir William Crawford Haworth was an Australian politician. Born in Melbourne,he was educated at state schools before attending the University of Melbourne and the Victorian College of Pharmacy. He became a pharmaceutical chemist,and served in the military 1940–44. In 1937,he was elected to the Victorian Legislative Assembly as the United Australia Party member for Albert Park;he was the Victorian Minister for Health and Housing in 1945. He was defeated in 1945,but in 1949 was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Liberal member for the new seat of Isaacs. He held the seat until his retirement in 1969,when he received a knighthood. Haworth died in 1984.

John Coates is an Australian retired politician. Born in Melbourne,he was educated at the University of Sydney,after which he became a biochemist at the University of Tasmania. In 1972,he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Labor member for Denison,defeating sitting Liberal MP Robert Solomon. He was defeated by Liberal candidate Michael Hodgman in 1975,but in 1980 returned to politics when he was elected to the Senate. He remained a Senator until he resigned his place on 20 August 1996,six months after the federal election that had removed Labor from power.

George Conrad Hannan was an Australian politician who served as a Senator for Victoria from 1956 to 1965 and 1970 to 1974. He was a member of the Liberal Party for all but the last few months of his career,and was known as a strident anti-communist. Thomas Drinkwater Chataway was an English-born Australian politician. Born in Wartling,Sussex,he was educated at Charterhouse School before migrating to Australia in 1881,where he became a grazier and mill-owner in New South Wales and then Queensland. He was a leader among Queensland cane growers,sitting on Mackay Council and serving as mayor in 1904. In 1906 he was elected to the Australian Senate as an Anti-Socialist Senator for Queensland. He joined the Commonwealth Liberal Party when it formed in 1909. Chataway was defeated in 1913,after which he became a journalist in Melbourne. He died in 1925 at his home in Toorak,Victoria.
Anthony James Joseph St Ledger was an English-born Australian politician. Born in Barnsley,England,he migrated to Australia as a child and was educated at St Killan College in Ipswich,Queensland. He became a teacher with the Queensland Education Department,but studied law,eventually becoming a barrister. In 1906,he was elected to the Australian Senate as an Anti-Socialist Senator for Queensland,joining the Commonwealth Liberal Party when the Anti-Socialists were absorbed in 1909. He remained in the Senate until his defeat in 1913. Leaving politics,he moved to Melbourne to continue his career in law. St Ledger died in 1929.

He was Vice-President of the Western Australian Liberal Party 1960–1962. On 26 November 1964,he was appointed to the Australian Senate as a Liberal Senator for Western Australia,filling the casual vacancy caused by the death of Senator Seddon Vincent. He held the seat until his retirement in 1980. Sim was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) on 31 December 1982,for service to parliament.
