Australia's Got Talent is an Australian reality television show, based on the original UK series, to find new talent. The sixth season aired on the Seven Network from 16 April 2012 until 25 July 2012. Dannii Minogue, Brian McFadden and Kyle Sandilands returned as judges, as well as Grant Denyer as host. [1] The auditions took place from October–December 2011, and the filming of the show took place from February–March 2012. [2] Todd McKenney was a guest judge at the Melbourne auditions, in the absence of Sandilands, and the second show of the finals showdown, in the absence of McFadden. This was Minogue and McFadden's final series as judges, as they were replaced by Dawn French, Geri Halliwell and season 5 contestant Timomatic in season 7.
There are various options for auditioning, such as attending the correct venue on the correct day with the questionnaire (which can be found on the website or completed on audition day), sending a DVD in with the act on it, or applying online. [3] The following list contains all of the cities, venues and dates of the auditions. [4] Todd McKenney was a guest judge at the Melbourne auditions in the place of Kyle Sandilands.

Australian Idol is an Australian singing competition, which began its first season in July 2003 and ended its initial run in November 2009. As part of the Idol franchise, Australian Idol originated from the reality program Pop Idol, which was created by British entertainment executive Simon Fuller. Australian Idol was televised on Network Ten for its first seven series and was broadcast on the Southern Cross Austereo Radio Network between 2005 and 2007. The series returned in 2023 after Seven Network announced they would be picking up the show.
Brian Nicholas McFadden is an Irish pop singer and television presenter. He rose to fame in 1998 as a member of the Irish boy band Westlife. Following his departure from the group in 2004, McFadden released his debut solo album, Irish Son. He has since released four studio albums: Set in Stone, Wall of Soundz, The Irish Connection, and Otis.

The first season of the show premiered on Network Ten on 6 February 2005. Ten dropped The X Factor after the first season due to its poor ratings. In 2010, the Seven Network won the rights to the show, and a second season went into production. America's Got Talent is a televised American talent show competition, and is part of the global Got Talent franchise created by Simon Cowell. The program is produced by Fremantle USA and Syco Entertainment, and broadcasts on the NBC television network. It premiered on June 21, 2006, after plans for a British edition in 2005 were suspended, following a dispute within the British broadcaster ITV. Production would later resume in 2007, following the success of the first season. The show was originally to be hosted by actor Matthew Newton, however, he was forced to withdraw as host during production after an altercation with his former girlfriend Rachael Taylor and re-admitting himself to rehab. Guy Sebastian, Natalie Imbruglia, Keating and Kyle Sandilands who is the additional fourth judge joined the judging panel as replacements for former judges, Mark Holden, Kate Ceberano and John Reid.

Jack Vidgen is an Australian singer and television personality, best known for winning the fifth season of Australia's Got Talent as a teenager. He subsequently signed a recording contract with Sony Music Australia with his debut single, "Yes I Am", and studio album, of the same name, were released in August 2011. The album debuted at number three on the ARIA Albums Chart, and was certified gold. His second studio album, Inspire, was released in April 2012, reaching number 23 on the ARIA Albums Chart. In 2019 Vidgen took part in season 8 of Australian The Voice and was eliminated after the Semi-Finals. He also appeared on America's Got Talent: The Champions. Vidgen has also appeared on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in Australia.

The fourth season premiered on the Seven Network on 20 August 2012 and ended on 20 November 2012. The winner was Samantha Jade and her winner's single "What You've Done to Me" was released after the final. Jade was mentored throughout by Guy Sebastian, who won as mentor for the second year in a row. The main live shows was presented by Luke Jacobz, while season three finalist Johnny Ruffo presented the digital live streaming show The X Stream. Mel B, Guy Sebastian, Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Ronan Keating returned as judges.
The seventh season of American talent show competition series America's Got Talent was broadcast on NBC from May 14 to September 13, 2012. After the previous season, Piers Morgan left the program due to other commitments; he was replaced by the producers with Howard Stern. However, this change involved moving the venue for the live rounds of the competition from Los Angeles to Newark, New Jersey, which increased the size of the audience that attended each live episode. Along with a visual makeover of the program to improve its presentation on television, a planned break was included with the broadcast schedule between July 24 and August 14, to avoid clashing with the network's live coverage of the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Punzalan became the youngest winner of the show at 15 years old and was the first contestant from the Girls category to do so. She was mentored by Keating, who won as mentor for the second time after previously mentoring season two winner Altiyan Childs in 2010.

The seventh season of The Voice began airing on 15 April 2018, although it was originally scheduled to debut on 16 April 2018. The coaching line-up consisted of returning coaches Delta Goodrem, returning for her sixth season, Boy George and Kelly Rowland, both returning for their second, and new addition Joe Jonas, replacing Seal.
