DawAung San Suu Kyi, sometimes abbreviated to Suu Kyi, is a Burmese politician, diplomat, author, and democracy activist who served as state counsellor of Myanmar and Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2016 to 2021. Maung Aye is a retired Burmese army general who played a significant role in Myanmar's military government. He served as Vice Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council (SPDC), the ruling military junta of Myanmar, from July 1993 to March 2011, holding the second highest-ranking position in the regime. He graduated from the Defence Services Academy in Pyin Oo Lwin and began his military career by commanding the Northeast Region in 1968, followed by the Eastern Region in 1988. His career progression included promotions to major-general in 1990 and Army Chief in 1992. In 1993, he was appointed as Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, and the following year, he assumed the role of Deputy Chairman of the State Law and Order Restoration Council (SLORC), which later evolved into the SPDC. Despite rumours of resignation in August 2010, Maung Aye remained deputy head of state until the SPDC was dissolved on 30 March 2011 by Senior General Than Shwe, marking a significant transition in Myanmar's governance.
The Defence Services Academy located in Pyin Oo Lwin, is the premier military service academy of Myanmar, training future officers for all three branches of Myanmar military. The Ministry of Defence administered academy offers bachelor's degree programs in liberal arts, combined physical sciences, and computer science. DSA has conferred basic degrees on 33,065 graduates from the first graduation ceremony up to the 62nd graduation in December 2021.

Pon ye gyi is a fermented bean paste commonly used as a condiment or marinade in Burmese cuisine, especially in pork and fish dishes. Pon ye gyi is traditionally made from horse gram beans, alongside other beans. To prepare the paste, the seeds are boiled, pounded with salt and fermented for about 12 hours into a product similar to soya bean sauce, producing a viscous paste with a reddish brown colour. It is consumed as a side-dish all over Myanmar(2019). The towns of Bagan, Nyaung U and Sale, and Myingyan in the country's central Dry Zone are major producers of this product.

Myanmar's Got Talent (MGT) is the Burmese version of the Got Talent franchise that is airing on MRTV-4. It is a talent show that features singers, dancers, magicians, comedians, and other performers of all ages competing for a prize. It has been broadcasting since 2014 and is now reaching its sixth season. The talent show was listed in The Myanmar Times "Top 10 Myanmar TV Shows" in 2019.
Ma Thudamasari is a 1994 Burmese drama film, directed by Kyi Soe Tun starring Kyaw Ye Aung, Moht Moht Myint Aung, Zaw Lin, Myint Myint Khine, San San Aye and Khin Soe Paing. It was based on the popular novel Ma Thudamasari written by Moe Moe (Inya).
