Ayesha Mousumi is a Bangladeshi pop singer and model. [1] [2] [3] She began her music career in 2012 after participating in the reality show "Power Voice" 2012 on Channel 9, which brought her recognition in the Bangladeshi music scene. [4] [5] [6] Since then, she has released several albums and singles such as "Makeup Shundori," "Bolona," "Char Okkhore Bhalobashi," and "Ovimani Mon" etc. [7] [8] She is also an enlisted artist of Bangladesh Television (BTV) [9]

Career

Ayesha began learning music when she was six years old. Her mother enrolled her at Shishu Academy, where she completed a two-year music course. Later, she studied Nazrul Sangeet and folk music at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. [10] When she was in seventh grade, she started learning classical music with Ustad Subir Chakraborty. Ayesha Mousumi entered the music industry in 2012 through the reality show "Power Voice". [10] Her first original song was "Sada Kalo". [11] In 2015, she became known for the song "Chander Gaye Chand Legese," in collaboration with DJ Rahat. [12] Since then, she has regularly worked on albums, singles, and film soundtracks. Some of the films she has lent her voice to include Captain Khan, Shesh Bazi, and Poran. [13] [14] Ayesha has also performed in various concerts both in Bangladesh and abroad. [15] [16] [17] She made her acting debut opposite Ziaul Faruq Apurba in a solo drama. [18] [19]

In celebration of 50 years of Bangladesh's independence and the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, 50 artistes including Ayesha Mousumi, contributed to a new rendition of the national anthem, Amar Sonar Bangla . [20] [21]

Indian singer Neha Kakkar performed in Dhaka in 2016. The event opened with performances by Ayesha Mousumi, and Bangladeshi artists Anika and Shafi Mondol. Ayesha Mousumi began the concert with the song 'De De Pal Tule De'. [22]

Early life

Ayesha Mousumi completed her honors in graphic design from Shanto-Mariam University. [10] In 2022, Ayesha married Taslim Mazumder through a virtual Zoom call. [23] [24] [25] [26]

Sabbir Nasir is a Bangladeshi singer, composer, songwriter. He works on folk fusion, indie pop and blues music. He started performing on stage at the age of 16. He was the vocalist and the lead guitarist of different bands. His last band, Metamorphosis published their first and last album in 1998. Since 1998 till 2018, Sabbir was out of the musical scene. His first English single "Drowning" was featured in various international magazines.

Shruti Das is an Indian Bengali actress. who works in Bengali television serials and films. She made her acting debut with the drama series Trinayani (2019) and is also known for acting in Desher Maati and Ranga Bou.

"O Priyotoma" is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language duet song sung by Balam and Somnur Monir Konal and composed by Akassh from the 2023 soundtrack album Priyotoma of the film of the same name, starring Shakib Khan and Idhika Paul. The song is written by Asif Iqbal. The song was released on 27 June 2023. The music video for the song was released on the same day under the music label Tiger Media.

Dil Dil Dil is 2016 a Bangladeshi romantic song from the soundtrack of 2016 film Bossgiri, sung by Imran Mahmudul and Dilshad Nahar Kona. The song is composed by Shouquat Ali Imon with penned by Kabir Bakul. It was released on 4 September 2016 under the label of Khan Films.
