Ayo Omotayo is a Professor of Environmental Sustainability and the Director General of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies. [1] [2] [3] [4]
He is an academic, serial entrepreneur, writer and published author. [5] [6] He contributes to the societal affairs of Nigeria through his writings on the environment, politics, ethics, policies towards sustainable national development. [7] [8] [9]
Ayo began his career as an academic at Lagos State University as an assistant lecturer from 1985–1992. He was promoted to the position of senior lecturer at the same university from 1992–2012. He served as the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences between 2012 and 2017 and Director of the Centre for Planning from 2017 to 2022. He resumed the office of Director General of the National Institute in 2022. [10] He served as the President of the University of Ibadan Jaycees in the 1986–87 academic Session.
During his tenure at Lagos State University, Professor Ayo founded the MBA programme and developed an online payment and registration technology for Lagos State University (HEDUMSYS). [11] He also started his company, Netlynk Incorporated, a computer consulting firm in Atlanta-Georgia, developed Cashfast, a technology for international money transfer over the internet, and led the re-engineering of the IT system of Standard Trust Bank in Nigeria. Aside from academic endeavour, and environmental advocacy, Ayo is a serial entrepreneur and founder some companies which include Netlynk Incorporated, a computer consulting firm in Atlanta-Georgia after obtaining training and certification in JAVA programming, Novel Networking Engineering, and Microsoft Systems Engineering. He was nominated by Muhammadu Buhari and his appointment as the Director General of the National Institute was confirmed by the Senate of Nigeria. [14] [15] [16]
Ayo got his Ph.D. in geography from the University of Ibadan between in 1990.[ citation needed ]

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is a public research university located in Lagos, Nigeria, which was founded in 1962. UNILAG is one of the first generation universities in Nigeria and is ranked among the top universities in Africa in major education publications. The university presently has three campuses in the mainland of Lagos. Whereas two of its campuses are located at Yaba, it's college of medicine is located at Idi-Araba, Surulere. Its main campus is largely surrounded by the Lagos Lagoon and has 802 acres of land. The National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) is a policy formation center for bureaucrats, private sector leaders, military officers, and medium- and senior-ranking civil servants. NIPSS was established in 1979. Its first Director General was Major General Ogundeko. The current Director General is Professor Ayo Omotayo. Notable graduates of the NIPSS are General Ibrahim Babangida the former Nigerian Head of State, and Nuhu Ribadu, famed former anti-corruption czar who is also the current National Security Adviser to President Tinubu, and former head of the SSS, Ita Ekpeyong.

Olanrewaju Adigun Fagbohun SAN is a Nigerian lawyer, academic, author, investor, professor of environmental law and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. He served as the 8th substantive vice-chancellor of Lagos State University between 11 January 2016 to 10 January 2021. His administration as LASU's vice chancellor witnessed tremendous gains in research, innovations and infrastructural development – which helped to propel the university from obscurity to the second best university in Nigeria according to the 2021 Times Higher Education ranking. He was appointed by the governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode to succeed professor John Obafunwa, a Nigerian pathologist whose tenure ended on 31 October 2015. His appointment was lauded by the Lagos State University chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities. The association through the chapter chairman pledge their full support for good administration.
Omoyele Yele Sowore is a Nigerian politician, human rights activist, citizen reporter, writer, lecturer and pro-democracy campaigner, known for founding the online news agency Sahara Reporters. In August 2018, he founded the African Action Congress party and ran as its presidential candidate in the 2019 Nigerian general election. Folorunsho Coker is a Nigerian businessman, politician and director general of Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation since March 2017. He was formerly the managing director of the number plate production authority of State of Lagos and commissioner for tourism, Arts & Culture and Special Adviser Central Business District in Lagos State. Coker was the chief executive officer of Brown Restaurant and La Casa Group prior to his appointment as commissioner for tourism, Arts & Culture. He was a jury member for the 2nd edition of the Nigerian Travel Awards (NTA). In 1992, Coker was appointed as personal assistant to Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, He was later appointed as the Managing Director of the Number Plate Production Authority of State of Lagos. In 2014, he was appointed special adviser on the Central Business District of Lagos to Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), then governor of Lagos State. As the DG of NTDC, Coker launched "Tour Nigeria” a project aimed at promoting domestic tourism in Nigeria. Coker also organized “Food Flavor” a festival that showcased Nigerian food and culture and promote the city as a destination for fun, hospitality and relaxation. He initiated the revocation of the NTDC Act of 1992. The new law has been passed to law by the Senate awaiting concurrence from Nigerian House of Representatives. Coker led administration at NTDC also partnered Google Nigeria for the digitization of tourism sights and street view with the hope of deepening the positive digital story of the Nigerian tourism industry. As Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, in Lagos state, he organized “One Lagos Fiesta” a 5day event held in five different locations in Lagos as a mark of promoting Nigeria culture through music and other forms of entertainment. In 2018, with the partnership of Kano State Government, he initiated the proposed implementation of Kano/Durbar repackaging plan. He also started the repackaging of the Iri Ji Yam Festival, Anambra, Ogidi Ijumu Festival, Kogi and Osun-Osogbo Festival, Osun. He started his education at Corona College Obalende before travelling to UK in 1992 where he attended St. Bees School, Cumbria. He holds a bachelor's degree in combined studies, Economic and Geography from Manchester University. He obtained postgraduates degrees in diplomacy. International trade and finance the University of Westminster where he finished with distinction. In his time as the Director-General of NTDC, P.M. News reported, "The Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) on Wednesday bagged Best Tourism Marketing Agency of the year 2019 at the Gala/Award Night of Tourism Transportation Summit and Expo."

Aishah Ndanusa Ahmad is a Nigerian accountant and finance professional. She is a former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria having been appointed on 6 October 2017, replacing Sarah Alade, who retired in March 2017. She was confirmed by the Nigerian Senate on 22 March 2018. On 6 December 2022, Ahmad was reappointed deputy governor for a second five-year term and subsequently confirmed by the Senate on 14 December 2022. However, on 15 September 2023, she was removed from office by President Bola Tinubu alongside three other deputy governors for alleged corporate governance failures at the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye is a Nigerian pharmacist and professor. She was appointed the Director-General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) on 3 November 2017 by the President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari. Before her appointment as NAFDAC boss, she was the founding Chair of Biopharmaceutical Sciences and a Professor of Pharmaceutics, Manufacturing Science and Drug Product Evaluation at the College of Pharmacy, Roosevelt University in Schaumburg, Illinois, where she spent 7 years. She was also a Professor of Pharmaceutics and Manufacturing for 21 years at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. She is Senior Fulbright Scholar and Specialist and 2008 American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists Fellow. She is also a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Science and Nigeria Academy of Pharmacy. Her research interests are in the areas of pre-formulation, early phase development of solid, semisolid and liquid dosage forms, and IND-based and intellectual property-driven late phase drug product development. She is the founder and President of Elim Pediatric Pharmaceuticals Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Through Duquesne University, she was able to develop an anti-retroviral (HIV/AIDS) pediatric fixed-dose combination and received intellectual property on the formulations in the UK and South Africa.
