Debashree Roy also known as Debasree Roy, is an Indian actress, dancer, choreographer, politician and animal rights activist. As an actress, she is known for her work in Hindi and Bengali cinema. She has been cited as the reigning queen of Bengali commercial cinema. She acted in more than a hundred films and won over forty awards, including a National Award, three BFJA Awards, five Kalakar Awards and an Anandalok Award. The film is a murder mystery directed by Sayantan Ghosal, produced by Greentouch Entertainment and bankrolled by Shyam Sundar Dey and Tanmoy Banerjee, based on the story "Magna Mainak" by Saradindu Bandhopadhyay. The film released in India on 2 October 2019. A sequel titled Durgo Rahasya is announced.
Uma is an unreleased Indian Hindi-language film directed by Tathagata Singha. The film is produced by Avishek Ghosh and Mantraraj Paliwal. The film stars Kajal Aggarwal, Tinnu Anand, Harsh Chhaya, Gaurav Sharma and Ayoshi Talukdar.
