Aziz Ahmed Khan (born 1978) is an Indian politician. In 2016,he was elected as MLA of Karimganj South Vidhan Sabha constituency in Assam Legislative Assembly. [1] He is an All India United Democratic Front politician. Just before the 2021 Assembly election,he resigned from the AIUDF and joined the Asom Gana Parishad. But lost to Siddeque Ahmed in the election.
Aziz Ahmed Khan was born in 1978,to a Bengali Muslim family from Farampasha in Karimganj. [2] His father,Mozir Uddin Ahmed Khan. [3]
Karimganj district is one of the 34 districts of the Indian state of Assam. Karimganj town is both the administrative headquarters district and the biggest town of this district. It is located in southern Assam and borders Tripura and the Sylhet Division of Bangladesh. It makes up the Barak Valley alongside Hailakandi and Cachar. Karimganj was previously part of the Sylhet District before the Partition of India. It became a district in 1983.
