Yumnam Renu Bala Chanu is an Indian weightlifter, hailing from Kyamgei Mayai Leikai village located near Imphal, Manipur. She secured a gold medal in the Women's 58 kg category at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

Damon Joseph Kelly is an Australian weightlifter who competed at the 2008 Olympic Games finishing ninth. Damon recorded lifts of 165 kg in the Snatch and 221 kg in the Clean and Jerk with a total of 386 kg. He was the biggest member of the Australian Olympic Team and was Australia's only male weightlifter at the Games, having secured the sole position with a personal best lift on his final attempt at the Olympic Nomination Trials.

His wife Maria Liku also represented Fiji in weightlifting at the 2012 Summer Olympics, while his younger sister, Seruwaia Malani, competed at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Khumukcham Sanjita Chanu is an Indian weightlifter. Born in Kakching Khunou, Kakching district, Manipur, she is a two time Commonwealth Games Champion. Chanu won the gold medals at the 2014 Glasgow and the 2018 Gold Coast events in the women's 48 kg and 53 kg weight category respectively. She holds the Commonwealth Games record of 84 kg for the Snatch segment in the latter weight category.
Mirabai Chanu is an Indian weightlifter. She won the silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the Women's 49 kg event. She has won gold medals at the World Championships and Commonwealth Games. She was awarded the Padma Shri and Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna by the Government of India in 2018.
Sathish Sivalingam is an Indian weightlifter who won gold medals in the men's 77 kg weight class at both the 2014 and the 2018 Commonwealth Games. He is supported by the GoSports Foundation through the Rahul Dravid athlete mentorship programme.
Maude G. Charron is a Canadian weightlifter, who competes in the 63/64 kg category and represents Canada at international competitions. She is an Olympic and Commonwealth Games champion in the women's 64 kg division. Charron also owns the clean & jerk Commonwealth Games record, the snatch and total Canadian weightlifting records, all the Panamerican records in her weight class.
The Men's 62 kg weightlifting event at the 2018 Commonwealth Games took place at the Carrara Sports and Leisure Centre on 5 April 2018. The weightlifter from Malaysia won the gold, with a combined lift of 288 kg. Papua New Guinea and Pakistan claimed the silver and bronze medals, respectively. Muhamad Aznil bin Bidin, is a Malaysian weightlifter who won the gold medal in the men's 62 kg weight class at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. [1][2] He also managed to maintain the gold medal record at the 2022 Commonwealth Games[3] which has already taken place in Birmingham, England in the men's 61 kg weight category. In 2018 he was preparing to collect points to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games to be held in Paris.
Ragala Venkat Rahul is an Indian weightlifter who won the gold medal in the men's 85 kg weight class at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
Mohamad Fazrul Azrie Mohdad, also simply known as Mohamad Fazrul Azrie, is a Malaysian male weightlifter and a national record holder for Malaysia in weightlifting.
Talha Talib is a Pakistani weightlifter from Gujranwala. He is the Pakistani national champion in the 62 kg category. He set a new record at the games in snatch as he lifted 132 kg in the third attempt with 127 kg and 130 kg in the first two attempts, respectively. He was also a gold medalist at the 2016 Commonwealth Youth Weightlifting Championships in Penang. He lifted 258 kg to clinch the gold. He is currently the top No. 1 ranked weightlifter of Pakistan.
Muhammad Nooh Dastgir Butt is a Pakistani weightlifter and powerlifter from Gujranwala, Pakistan. He won the gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Muhammad Erry Hidayat bin Muhammad Hidayat is a Malaysian weightlifter. He is the son of the country's former weightlifter Hidayat Hamidon who was the 1998 gold medal medalists in weightlifting at the 1998 Commonwealth Games. He has won several medals in various competitions, including a bronze medal at the 2019 SEA Games in Manila and a silver at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Erry also won a bronze medal at the 2021 SEA Games in Vietnam and renewed the National 73 kg Weightlifting record by lifting 316 kg. In November 2023, Erry was crowned the Federal Territories Sportsman for 2021/2022.
