B.N.M. Institute of Technology (also Bhageerathi Bai Narayana Rao Maanay Institute of Technology) is an autonomous private technical co-educational engineering education institution located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. It was established in 2001 and is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. [1]

BNMEI – B.N.M. Educational Institutions were established by the trust Bhageerathi Bai Narayana Rao Maanay Charities in 1972. [ citation needed ]The Managing Trustee N. Raghunath Rao Maanay - along with Sunanda P Jadhav, the founder, Secretary and Principal, founded the institution.[ citation needed ]

Rao Yi is a Chinese neurobiologist. Coimbatore Narayana Rao Raghavendran is an Indian architect from Chennai, Tamil Nadu and the partner of C. R. Narayana Rao Architects and Engineers, a Chennai-based engineering concern. He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and did higher studies at Cornell University in the United States. Working in Boston for brief period, Raghavendran returned to India to join his family business established by his father, C. R. Narayana Rao, in 1945. He was honored by the Government of India, in 2011, with the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri.

Vakkaleri Narayana Rao was an Indian defence scientist and one of the pioneers of Electronic Warfare in India. He was a former director of the Defence Electronics Research Laboratory, Hyderabad. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest Indian civilian honour of Padma Shri in 1982.
