The Bucharest Exchange Trading index (BET or BET-10) was the first index developed by Bucharest Stock Exchange. It is the reference index for the capital markets. BET follows the evolution of 10 most liquid companies listed on BVB regulated market, excluding financial investment companies (SIFs). It is an index weighted by free float capitalization. The maximum weight of the symbol is 20%. The main selection criterion is company’s liquidity. Starting with 2015, additional requirements of transparency, quality reporting and communication with investors will be imposed.

B3 (stock exchange)

The B3 S.A.- Brasil, Bolsa, Balcão, formerly BM&FBOVESPA, is a stock exchange located in São Paulo, Brazil, and the second oldest of the country. At the end of 2011 it had a market capitalization of R$2.37 trillion, making it the 13th largest stock exchange in the world. However, owing to the slump in economic growth in Brazil associated with political problems, in addition to the strengthening of the United States dollar against the Brazilian real, the capitalization shrank to R$2.21 trillion by the end of 2015. On May 8, 2008, the São Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa) and the Brazilian Mercantile and Futures Exchange (BM&F) merged, creating BM&FBOVESPA. Then at March 30, 2017, BM&FBOVESPA merged with CETIP, creating B3.

Straits Times Index Singapore stock index

The FTSE Straits Times Index (STI) is a capitalisation-weighted stock market index that is regarded as the benchmark index for the Singapore stock market. It tracks the performance of the top 30 companies listed on the Singapore Exchange. It is jointly calculated by Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), Singapore Exchange (SGX) and FTSE Group (FTSE).

Bucharest Stock Exchange

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) is the stock exchange of Romania located in Bucharest. In 2019, the capitalization of BVB increased 23.4% compared to the previous year, to the value of EUR 37.8 billion. At the end of 2019 there were 83 companies listed on the BVB.

FTSE Group British provider of stock market indices

Tokyo Stock Price Index, commonly known as TOPIX, along with the Nikkei 225, is an important stock market index for the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) in Japan, tracking all domestic companies of the exchange's First Section. It is calculated and published by the TSE. As of 1 February 2011, there are 1,669 companies listed on the First Section of the TSE, and the market value for the index was ¥197.4 trillion.

Since the Romanian Revolution of 1989, successive Romanian governments have tried to promote reform programs in all sectors: politics, economics, civil rights, local administration, etc. Among these measures has been the establishment of the modern Romanian capital market. Development of a Romanian capital market was founded on the privatisation program, in which shares in more than 5,000 companies, property of the Romanian State at the time, were granted for free to the population. These shares were listed on the RASDAQ market. On September 30, 2014 the Romanian Parliament decided that the RASDAQ market should be dissolved. The market still remains operational however it is no longer possible to list on it.

Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange

Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange was formerly known as HCM Securities Trading Center, established in 1998 under Decision No. 127/1998/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister. HCM Securities Trading Center officially opened on July 20th 2000 and had its first trading session on July 28th 2000 with 02 listed companies, 06 security company members.

The Sibex-Sibiu Stock Exchange was established as a private company in December 1994, with 33.24 million lei share capital, and was the first Romanian exchange authorized by Romanian National Securities Commission (RNSC). Being the pioneer of exchange listed derivatives in Romania, at the moment Sibex is the leader on this market segment. In July 1997, Sibex has become Romania's first derivatives exchange through the implementation of futures contracts.

In 2003, the service sector constituted 55% of gross domestic product (GDP), and the sector employed 62.6(cia.gov)% of the workforce. The subcomponents of services are financial, renting, and business activities (20.5%); trade, hotels and restaurants, and transport (18%); and other service activities (21.7%).

CMC Markets British foreign exchange company

CMC Markets is a UK-based financial services company that offers online trading in shares, spread betting, contracts for difference (CFDs) and foreign exchange across world markets. CMC is headquartered in London, with hubs in Sydney and Singapore. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.

Fondul Proprietatea is a joint-stock company operating as a closed-end investment company without a set lifetime, incorporated in Romania, trading on the Bucharest Stock Exchange since January 2011, and on the London Stock Exchange since April 2015. The fund operates under the control of the general assembly of shareholders.

In finance, a stock index, or stock market index, is an index that measures a stock market, or a subset of the stock market, that helps investors compare current price levels with past prices to calculate market performance. It is computed from the prices of selected stocks.
