Babacar Sar (born 15 November 1962) is a Mauritanian freestyle wrestler
Sar competed for Mauritania at the 1988 Summer Olympics in the 100 kg freestyle wrestling event, he is the most successful Mauritanian wrestler to date [1] when he won his first two bouts by falls, he lost his next two fights and did not advance to the next round. [2]
Greco-Roman, Graeco-Roman, classic wrestling or French wrestling is a style of wrestling that is practiced worldwide. He later became the 2021 World Championship runner-up, after being defeated by Yazdani. Then, at the 2022 World Championships, he avenged that loss by defeating Yazdani once again to reclaim his world title.
