Baboon is an American rock band originally from Denton, Texas.
The band formed in 1991. Their latest studio album, titled Baboon , was released on October 10, 2006.
Baboon appeared on an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger titled "Hall of Fame" in 1996. The band and their music were a key point in the episode's plot.
In its early years, Baboon, Brutal Juice, and Caulk were known collectively in the Denton area as the "Fraternity of Noise." Baboon toured extensively, including a stint on the Skoal-sponsored R.O.A.R. Tour in 1997, along with acts such as Iggy Pop, The Reverend Horton Heat, The Bloodhound Gang, and Sponge. They also toured with Toadies, Brutal Juice, and Unwound.
Vocalist Andrew Huffstetler and guitarist Mike Rudnicki formed The Boom Boom Box in 2008 and released a self-titled EP later than year, and a full-length album, titled Until Your Eyes Get Used To The Darkness, through Kirtland Records in 2012.

Brave Combo is a polka/rock/worldbeat band based in Denton, Texas. Founded in 1979 by guitarist/keyboardist/accordionist Carl Finch, they have been a prominent fixture in the Texas music scene for more than thirty-five years. Their music, both originals and covers, incorporates a number of dance styles, mostly polka, but also some Latin American and Caribbean styles like norteño, salsa, rumba, cha-cha-cha, choro, samba, two-step, cumbia, charanga, merengue, ska, etc.
The Clouds are an indie rock band from Sydney, Australia formed in December 1989. The core of the group consisted of frontwomen Jodi Phillis and Patricia "Trish" Young. The line-up of The Clouds has changed several times with different drummers and lead guitarists. The Clouds' music is distinguished by rapid and unusual chord changes, creative bass guitar, and Phillis and Young's vocal harmonies. They released 4 albums and numerous EPs and singles before breaking up in 1997. They reformed in 2011.

Secret Robot Control is the second full-length album by the band Baboon. It was released in April 1997 on Wind-Up Records. The title of the album is taken from a painting by Todd Ramsell, which is featured on the album's cover. The working title of the album was Destroy This Mad Brute!
Brutal Juice is a self-proclaimed "acid punk" band from Denton, Texas. The band formed in 1990 and officially disbanded in February 1997, although they held several reunion concerts between 1999 and 2012, which usually took place at Fry Street Fair in Denton. They officially reformed in 2012 and released their latest album, titled "Welcome to the Panopticon," on October 28, 2016. Brutal Juice still performs a few times a year, typically playing shows in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, or in Austin.
