Bad Friends is a podcast hosted by the American comedians Andrew Santino and Bobby Lee. Its first episode was released on February 17, 2020, and new episodes are released weekly each Monday. [1] Episodes feature discussions between Saninto and Lee that may include current events, improvised sketches, advice, mental health support, fictional characters, and celebrity guests. [2]
In 2023, the podcast toured the United States and Canada. [3] In 2024, the podcast toured Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. [4]
On May 22, 2024, Hulu announced it had acquired an exclusive development deal with Santino and Lee to produce an animated series based on the podcast. [5] Several major adult animation developers competed for this deal. [6]

Joseph Roland Wilkinson is an English comedian, actor, and screenwriter. He began his comedy career in 2004 and has supported Alan Carr and Russell Howard on tour. In 2006, Wilkinson won the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year. He has also made numerous appearances on television programmes such as Live at the Electric and has been touring solo since 2011. Your Mom's House is a comedy podcast hosted by married comedians Tom Segura and Christina Pazsitzky. The Bravest Knight is a Canadian animated television series, produced by Big Bad Boo Studios and a Hulu original which became the first kids original on the streaming service. The first episodes were added to the streaming service on June 21, 2019 and the other eight on October 11, 2019. The show, which was created by Daniel Errico, and directed by Shabnam Rezaei. It is a fantasy and adventure story focused on how a young kid and pumpkin farmer turned into the "bravest knight" through wild adventures across the lands, which he tells his adopted daughter. The series is one of the first all-ages animations to have an "openly gay main character".

The main plot focuses on a trio of strangers, all with a shared interest in true crime podcasts, who become friends while investigating a succession of suspicious murders in the Arconia, their affluent Upper West Side apartment building, and producing their own podcast about the cases, titled Only Murders in the Building. Its four ten-episode seasons premiered on Hulu in August 2021, June 2022, August 2023, and August 2024. The series was renewed for a fifth season in September 2024.
