Bahadur Singh Lama is a Nepali politician currently serving as Chief minister of Bagmati Province. Lama is elected member of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly from Nuwakot 2 (B). [2] He has previously served as minister for economic affairs of the province. [3] [4]
Lama who had served as the member of the House of Representatives of the federal parliament of Nepal,was elected through the proportional representation system from Nepali Congress and served as member of the House of Representatives. In the 2013 Nepalese Constituent Assembly election,Lama was elected from Nuwakot 3 defeating senior Maoist leader Post Bahadur Bogati. [5] [6] [7]
The Kingdom of Nepal was a Hindu kingdom in South Asia,formed in 1768 by the expansion of the Gorkha Kingdom,which lasted until 2008 when the kingdom became the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. Hit Bahadur Tamang is a Nepali politician and a member of the House of Representatives of the federal parliament of Nepal. He was elected from Nuwakot-1 constituency representing CPN of the Left Alliance,defeating senior Nepali Congress leader,ex-finance minister Ram Saran Mahat. He was elected by a margin of 8,553 votes,receiving 36,473 votes to Mahat's 27,920. He had been a candidate from Nuwakot in both the constituent assembly elections of 2008 and 2013 but lost to Mahat both times.

The term of the assembly started on 4 February 2018 and ended in September 2022. Trilochan Bhatta from the CPN served as chief minister during the term of the assembly. Arjun Bahadur Thapa served as the speaker of the assembly and Nirmala Badal Joshi served as the deputy speaker.
